"Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Gen. 50:20
Joseph's perspective on the sovereignty of God gave him a powerful lens through which to interpret both his life and world history itself. Scripture tells us that in Christ the same perspective Joseph had is assured for us today: God causes all things to work together for good . . . to those who are called according to his purpose" (Rom. 8:28). That purpose is to bring the blessing of a covenant relationship with the Creator God to every nation, tribe, people, and language. When we are walking in the light of that purpose we can be sure to always have the proper perspective on everything that happens in our lives and in our world.
Pray that God's redemptive plan for every frontier people might be fully realized in our generation.
