**UPDATE** praise & pray for Yoshi [JAP]

thanks for praying!!

:D thank God for the great time we had yesterday!! :D

:D it was quite slow going as we had a 3rd party join us [his gf, Clair]  . . . i'm definitely a 1-on-1 guy, my relational skills beyond that seem pretty retarded! :S

somehow got onto people with uneven legs & i remembered how God had supernaturally grown limbs @ Rochedale Baptists ~2 months ago, tried it on him
[his legs were very slightly uneven in length] with no hugely dramatic effect :S

felt like a total dill holding his feet telling the shorter left leg to grow & match the right one with zero sensation or growing for some time . . .

. .. but i was thankful for the few small gaps i had to talk with Yoshi & Clair separately, to catch up a little on what God has been doing in their lives  :D
:D revealing Himself to Yoshi through the inexpressibly sublime glory of His creation in their tour of Tasmania!

* woo Yoshi & Clair deeper into His love

* set Clair's friends' husband free from what seems to be demonically-induced epilepsy!!! [so bad that Clair's friend feels suicidal watching her husband suffer so bad]

rejoice with me & pray for me!

My dear precious siblings in Jesus:

Have been on this journey for awhile now as a recovering pharisee
.. detoxing from the drug of organised religion!

:D rejoice with me! :D

:D Papa keeps exploding every box I’ve tried to contain Him in! :D

:D the faithful few siblings in Jesus who love me enough to speak the hard but needful words to me!

:D helping me to step put of the boat of dead wood that is my comfort zone onto the water & Walk to eat of The Tree of Life – Jesus!!

:D blessing the GFA table @ the BLT + conference
1 missionary sponsored [woohoo!!!] & 10+ free books given out!

:D the opportunity to hang around greatly encouraging, challenging and inspiring siblings in Jesus who’ve gone through the fires of persecution & emerged victoriously triumphant!!
.. and so the great adventure of journeying with Jesus continues ..

*PRAY*

* keep “Remembering those in prison as if you were in prison with them. Remember those who are mistreated as if you were being mistreated.          –Hebrews 13:3

* we who are “free” to share The Glorious Gospel would unashamedly take every opportunity to share it .. remember our beaten, battered & bruised brothers & sisters who would love to do so but have been imprisoned for evangelising!

[not such a bad thing, prisoners & guards end up coming to know Jesus too!]

* bless the missionaries taking His Light & Life to places where His Name is still unknown to pierce the darkness & establish indigenous church planting movements until the whole world hears!

* every book / magazine taken would be passed on 7 times & reap a HUGE harvest of eternally changed lives & lost souls found!
- I’m away tomorrow-27th @ a Mens' Rites of Passage
see: www.mtmaustralia.org.au/rites-of-passage.html

* we’d be open, wisely discerning & receptive to all Father wants to do in our lives there!

* we'd let go of all that needs to be let go of!

* GOOD, QUALITY REST before & DURING the nights!

~thank you~!

What a joy it is to be journeying with Abba Yahweh, Jesus The son by His Holy Spirit!! XD 8D =D
please tell me how I can best support you before His throne of Grace too!

The one concern of the devil

is to keep Christians from praying.

He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion.

He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.

We have to stop looking at prayer as the spare tyre in the boot - - and start seeing it as the steering wheel!

***UPDATE*** & pray for English corner outing [17/8]

even though i'm on 'sabbatical' from English corner, the opportunity to join them on this public holiday in the glory of His creation was one i couldn't resist ;)

. . . didn't really seem to have any gospel opportunities as such, except just to show interest & concern in them.

not a whole lot more than the average non Christian friend could show i wonder :|

well, just wanted to report that i'm not the raging evangelist at all times.

but still pray for:
Jeff, Clair, Monica, Sho, Chan, Kheng, Michael, Geri, Doris, Clare, Min ... [KOR, JAP, COL, FRA, TW]
time away from their home seems to often lead to major lifechange!

may Father be pleased to do so on an eternal scale!
.. not only in their lives but in their families, their people group, country down through future generations!!!

pray for Jeff & Lorraine

misplaced my public transport card [!] but a missionary brother gave me his he wasn't using. :D
foolish me i frantically searched around my messy room
[which seems to refect my life .. all over the place & NOT 'together' :P]
but couldn;t find it all last night & this morning .. praying, praying & praying.. but nothing.

so i gave up.
too early it turned out!
so silly me goes & calls to report it as lost & cancel the card putting it beyond reactivation :[

then as i get ready to go out, wouldn;t you know it, it turns up in the rear pocket of the very pants i planned to wear! :S
D'OH!!!

. .. another tough lesson in learning to WAIT on The Lord & not act UNTIL He says so!
can you believe i'd just read this [below] that very day i realised my card had gone missing .. yikes, my slothfulness in acting on what i'm taught is baaad =(

. . at the bus stop i met Jeff who didn't have a transport card & looked like he could use it - he was totally not the kind of guy i'd normally initiate contact with [white aussie, foul mouthed, odorous] but Dad spoke to me today about seeing  His beauty & image, in the face of every person I meet – treating them with great dignity, respect & LOVE as I would treat Him!
so passed it to him, he was grateful. in the course of conversation on the bus a gospel sharing opportunity seemed to present itself .. but it didn't turn out well in the end .. tempted to give up on attempting to evangelise to the average aussie.

or maybe my approach is all wrong?!

*sigh*

pray for Aussies like Jeff . . . breaking through hardened hearts is Dad's specialty after all!

Waiting on the Lord

"But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness."    Isaiah 40:31, BBE

We tend to think of waiting as something passive and often boring, as when we have to wait for a bus or train, or when we wait for hours at an airport for a flight. However, when the Bible speaks of waiting on God, it is completely different. It means being still in God’s presence, expectantly looking to Him, and as we do this our strength is renewed.

Those who serve at tables are known as ‘waiters’. A servant waiting at table would be watching and listening for the slightest instruction from his master. It is partly in that way that we should be waiting on the Lord. Psalm 123:2 says: ‘As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God’.

Another example of waiting is that of a working sheepdog. Between a well-trained dog and its master there will be perfect understanding. There are times when the dog will drop to the ground at his owner’s command, keeping completely still, waiting for the next instruction. The dog fixes his eyes on his master, not moving a muscle, watching and waiting. He will not move until he is told, and often the slightest signal is enough for him to know when to move and what to do next.

Have we learnt to wait on God in that way, or are we too easily distracted? Can we follow God’s instruction to ‘Be still, and know that I am God’ (Psalm 46:10), or do we find our lives constantly filled with noise and activity. Brother Lawrence, a 17th-century monk, encouraged people to ‘practise the presence of God’. Have we learnt to do that?

Today’s verse promises that as we wait upon on the Lord He will renew our strength. Instead of relying on our own resources, we will be receiving from Him. An exchange takes place between our weakness and His strength. We will then be like eagles which soar on the thermals, seemingly without any effort. Why not resolve to do that today?

Prayer: Lord, please teach me how to wait on You and to be still and know that You are God. Forgive me for the times I have failed to do this. Amen.

Dear diary 14/8/11 – dream of basket~

My dear precious siblings in Jesus, just wanted to share a vision Abba Yahweh gave me today.

Picture a basket in the middle of a country road.

It’s abandoned. Unwanted. Rejected.

A car comes along and crushes it, leaving it a broken messy bundle of sticks. Useless, worthless.

Most would have thrown this basket away, but Jesus comes along, picks it up and mends it.

Jesus patiently, artfully mends it, restoring it to its original design, bringing it back to wholeness again, and He puts something in it – treasure! Not just any treasure, but life-giving treasure!

. . . And then He carries this once broken & tattered basket around, and from it gives out this life-giving treasure to the dying and hurting multitudes.

I realised this was a picture of me. How often I have felt like I was abandoned, unwanted and rejected, Useless, even worthless!

And yet in that very broken & messed up state with every imaginable negative feeling & perception toward myself, Jesus comes along!

He pays attention to me, even if I’ve been ignored.

He seeks for me, even if I’ve been abandoned.

He wants me, even if I’ve been unwanted!

He accepts me, even if I’ve been rejected!

He takes my broken, messed up life & gently, patiently, artfully, restores me to my original design, bringing me back to wholeness again, then He puts treasure in me! Not just any treasure, but life-giving treasure!

And then He carries me, broken & tattered as I once was, and gives out this life-giving treasure to the dying and hurting multitudes!!!

I’m still a work in progress. Only Jesus would bother to spend the time to mend and make something good & beautiful of my life!

Thank you Jesus!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

. .. and you know what, beautiful sister, beloved brother?

this is a picture of you too! Father knows, and you know only too well the wounds you’ve suffered, every trauma, every heartache, the neglect of simply existing in a cruel, loveless world.

It just occurred to me that the prodigal son who came home in all his filthy messed up brokenness, and wanted just to be a slave in The Fathers’ house, received way beyond his wildest expectations & was instantly & unconditionally restored to the full rights, authority, privileges & position of a son! [fully & completely loved!]

. . . but the older son who’d “done things right” & had been in The Fathers’ house the whole time, but “living” as a slave rather than a son, missed out in the end.

His choice.

His loss :(

Jesus wants to meet you in all your messed up brokenness.

He longs to heal you, make you whole & restore you to The Fathers’ original design.

But . . . will you let Him? Or will you hide from Him? The face of perfect love?

For too long, I foolishly pushed Him away, as if “life” was better in the twisted way it had become.

. . . but I’m coming home, coming to my senses!!

It’s your choice.

Will you enter into His fullness & live who you are as a beloved daughter, a beloved son? Or would you rather be a slave?!

rejoice with me & pray for me!

My dear precious siblings in Jesus:

Some food for thought:

To be disappointed in yourself is to have trusted in yourself.

Why haven’t we yet fulfilled the Great Commission? Why are we so ineffective in building God’s kingdom?

Is it because we lack money or literature or because the Bible is not translated into all the world’s languages? No, I don’t think so.

The deepest reason is this: We who form the Church—that’s you and me—are not real in our walk with the Lord and in our obedience to God’s Word. Unless our hearts change and we become genuine, transparent, open and humble in our faith (and through that, in all areas of our lives), we will never make an impact on the lost world! [KP Y]

:D rejoice with me! :D

:D I am SOOO GREATLY LOVED by Father, Son & The Holy Spirit!!!

:D He’s given me His BEST because He’s made me worthy!!! [Gal 4:4-6]

:D He knows me the best yet loves me the most!

:D He loves me because of who I a, NOT what I do / can’t do!

:D He’s made me His beloved Son and He is well pleased with me!!!

:D He was pleased to save me!

:D He will trade my ashes for beauty, my sorrow for joy, weeping for dancing & make me a blessing!

:D introducing me to the joys of journaling! Go here: http://lancelearning.com/21Questionsfor2011/tabid/299/Default.aspx

:D bringing clarity, speaking to me & giving me grace to act on what He says, despite my fears / hesitations / “good” reasons not to! :P

:D I’m free .. free to be *me* in Jesus’ arms!

:D guiding me out of my “living by sight/ reason” into living by faith in His Spirit!

:D life isn’t about me. A liberating truth I need constant reminders of!

.. and so the great adventure of journeying with Jesus continues ..

*PRAY*

* change my heart to become genuine, transparent, open & humble in faith (and through that, in all areas of life!)

* I’d stop trusting in myself, and so not be disappointed in myself!

* my journey to healing & wholeness would simply be one of immense gratefulness for already having it! [think about that!]

* use the Gospel For Asia table of materials I’m manning at the Brisbane Leadership Training+ conference this weekend [12-14/8] to mobilise & equip His children to be involved in evangelism to the ends of the earth!

* I’d take what HE wants for me from the Mens’ rites of passage week on 23rd-27th/8

~thank you~!

**UPDATE** praise & pray for Yoshi [JAP]

thanks for praying!!

:D thank God for the great time we had today!! :D [today was my dad's birthday .. dad was happy to include Yoshi for dinner + a DVD 'the king's speech'] :)

:D .. getting unstuck from programs & agendas, was led to just show him love & learn to be a friend rather than "pushing" for him to join a religion [which he's had enough of in the past & was much put off by, understandably!]

:D he does want to know God, & is curious about what it is to have relationship with God, without religious fluff!

 * pray he gets a personal revelation & experience of The Risen Lord Jesus - in HIS all-surpassing beauty & worth that'll overcome all his that holds him back from truly turning from self & sin to throw the full weight of his confidence onto Jesus!!

* set Yoshi, & many, many others held captive by religious spirits be completely set free -- free to live fully in Christ, and free to live fully for Christ!!!
