pray for the unreached!!

"'I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.'" Matt. 8:10
Who had such great faith? A Roman (Gentile) centurion. How ironic was Jesus' discovery! One outside the Jewish nation, and isolated from the revelation Israel had received, had greater faith than those inside Israel. What made the difference? Many of the Jews were taking for granted God's Word to them. Though we today have access to the Bible in dozens of versions and a Christian message with the switch of a dial on radio or TV, these privileges are no assurance that Jesus is going to find faith among us. In fact, not only faith, but even the awareness of the purposes of God for the nations can disappear from our minds when we fail to obey what God commands.

Pray that the Father will teach us to obey!

"And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham." Matt. 3:9
John the Baptist was not the kind of man who minced words. After calling the crowd a "brood of vipers" (3:7), he went on to harshly scold them for thinking that their Jewish heritage was the source of their relationship with God. Isn't it easy to fall into the same trap today? We can proudly say to ourselves that our congregation or denomination has done such and such, forgetting that God will call each of us to give an account. No excuse will be accepted!

Pray for a renewed willingness to obey the Great Commission.
"This is what the Lord Almighty says: 'These people say, 'The time has not yet come for the Lord's house to be built.''" Haggai 1:2

A small company of Jews had returned to Judah from exile in Babylon. Initial efforts to rebuild the temple were frustrated by opposition from surrounding peoples. The people of God became too discouraged to do anything but just rebuild their homes. Haggai's message was, "God will honor us only if we put His concerns first!" What about your church? Is it putting God's kingdom first? What about its vision for the world? Does God want to use us the way He used Haggai to rebuild a mission vision long neglected?

Pray that the Lord will give us the courage, vision, and wisdom to be like Haggai, that we may call the Church to rebuild that vision which we have neglected for too long.

please rejoice with me & pray for me~!!

. . . i must confess i'm dissatisfied with my relationship with Father.
i hunger for reality, to truly know Him much more than inteaction with a book & superficial exchanges with others inside the four walls of a religious insitutional building.

look at the moon . . . I wanna be just like that ^__^

(that is, brightly reflecting a glory not my own, simply faithfully reflecting His glorious light to all =)

-- i'm not an awfully faithfully bright reflector tho :"(

precious brothers & sisters, do rejoice with me!!

i'm ever thankful to Father for putting you into my life :D

definitely not an easy journey but ever exciting =) sorry if this mail doesn't really 'fill you in' on what's been going on in his precious life He's given me, if you want to know more just ask~! my life's an open book ;)

crazy i know, but i'm still feeling unusually tired because of continual rubbish sleep at nights [overactive mind??!] :O-- oh well, it sure keeps me humble! :P

still, precious brothers & sisters, do rejoice with me!!

:D rejoice with me~! :D

:D He's answering my prayers & leading me deeper into His love!

:D He's committed to freeing me from the tyranny of self, for only then can i enjoy God's resources and discover just how generous He really is!
:D He wants to lead me and help me trust Him even through the most brutal circumstances.

:D Because Father takes such incredible care of us, we no longer have to live self-focused lives. Thus it will be easier for us to see ways God wants us to help others! :D There is nothing so terrible that He cannot work into his plan for our lives.

:D If He doesn't give me something i want, it's because I really don't need it!
:D God does not live in our imagined futures!

:D _lavishing_ me me with the liberating joy of losing "good things " in life so i can get God's BEST!

*PRAY*

* wisdom to take care of myself (my worst subject in life!!) - to know my limits and not take on too much >_<

* help me delegate where i can & not be stupid by trying to take on everything myself!

* i'd learn to feast on Jesus as Life itself, to truly know the reality that our hearts desperately long for.

* i'd stop wasting energy being frustrated over past events or worried about future ones and use energy to draw near to Him and learn to listen to his heartbeat instead!

* i'd abandon my "right" to decide what is good or not good for myself.
* i'd die to the right to judge anything on my terms and learn to live out of my relationship to Father.

* i'd learn to simply be thankful in everything including the storms that rage in my own mind and watch in awe as He uses them as opportunities to teach me to walk on water.
As long as we live to our own agenda, even what we think God might desire for us, we will miss out on the very life he is giving to us.
I find my prayers changing from “God, change this!” to “Father, how are you working in this for your glory?”

* When we die to the right to determine good and evil for ourselves we find the freedom to feast on the tree of Life. No longer growing frustrated when our comfort zones burst, we are free to see His purpose unfold and not be bogged down by our agenda. Now we are free to live in His life, not be plagued by our own agenda.

* i'd not determine what good i want or what evil i must prevent in the future & so be prevented from manipulating everything and everyone around me!

* the power of his cross would Free me to Live In the Moment!

* i'd be increasingly skeptical of my own agenda and preferences. Instead of wasting all your efforts trying to sculpt my life the way i want it, i’ll find the joy of living in the middle of His purpose working out in me. i’ll be able to embrace Him and His work in me as easily in times of trouble as in times of ease. And by standing in his unfolding purpose i’ll know the truest joy of being His son in the world!

* i'd start everyday without my own preferences for how I want things to turn out, to be constantly amazed at what God is doing in my life and genuinely thankful at every turn!

* Everyday Father lets me taste of His generous love, He'd show me how He wants to channel His generosity through me to touch others!
* prayers for quality sleep at nights would be great - that my mind would lie down to rest as my body does!
AN OPEN INVITE TO ALL: if you care about me & love me, please tell me anytime you see something wrong in my life! where do you see faults in my life / character? What areas would you like to see me grow & change by God’s grace?” -- all part of me obeying 1 Tim 4:16 which is too easy to neglect with such dire consequences!!
thanks~!! please tell me how i can best support you before His throne of Grace too!

i'm still feeling frequently tired because i'm getting rubbish sleep at nights [overactive mind?] which can make me want to nap during the day which makes for more restlessness at night . . . :O-- oh well, it sure keeps me humble! :P nevertheless, precious brothers & sisters, do rejoice with me!!

:D the gift of good books! latest one i'm onto "Authentic Relationships - Discover the Lost Art of One Anothering" see - http://www.ourchurchbookstore.com.au/showProduct.aspx?id=140240

i was really inspired after an International Student fellowship meeting reflecting on Job & Jesus to really hunger after the depth of relationship with Father they had which could still stand strong through incredibly fierce storms!

i'm learning . . . i'll just put them what i'm learning as prayer points because i'm terrible at getting head knowlege and just keeping it there , whilst not letting what my brain has absorbed affect the way i think / live! i need help!! and lots of it! would you please pray for me?

* His love would so fill me so i'm certain of His care for every detail of life, knowing He'll provide all i need when i need it, to be freed to live a life of love to those He puts before me!

* i'd live not to get love for myself but to learn to share His love with others!

* i'd want nothing more than to follow Father's voice in loving people He puts around me the way He wants me to love them!

Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand--shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. Mat 5:16 [MSG] - pray for grace to LIVE THIS!
* i'd not be consumed with "religious substitutes" but just to be CONSUMED WITH JESUS!
* i'd be lost in the wonder of Jesus Christ!
* i'd be weaned from myself & my constant self-precoccupation, so Galatians 2:20 is my life-verse!
"I have been put to death on the cross with Christ; still I am living; no longer I, but Christ is living in me; and that life which I now am living in the flesh I am living by faith, the faith of the Son of God, who in love for me, gave himself up for me."
* i'd not engage people for what i can get out of them but for what i can give them of God's life. never focussing on myself, just touching others from the deepest treasures of God's love!

* i'd grow so much in love with Jesus & in relationship with Him that He frees me from all that enslaves me to sin/ self / other things!
* my flesh would be starved of the sinful pleasures it feasts on that promote pride!
* He'd keep me genuinely humble before Him!

* He'd identify where boasting, blaming, gossip, self-pity, and worrying about what others think are cause me to live in shame instead of living in Him & show me all the places where covering up for shame hurts my relationships with others.
* He'd draw me so close to Himself so i'll no longer need to live in bondage to shame!!

* i'd be more confident in Father's ability to lead me than in satan's ability to deceive me!
* Wherever i'm lacking love toward others, He'd take me to deeper levels of His love & show me where i have expectations of others that prevent me from loving them freely and let Him set me free!
thanks~!! please tell me how i can best support you before His throne of Grace too!

:D Jesus' pomise in John 12:32 "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."
:D He does all He said He would do!
*PRAY*

"What a huge harvest!" he said to his disciples. "How few workers!
On your knees and pray for harvest hands!" Matt 9:37-38
* raise up more laborers for this ripe, ripe, RIPE HARVEST FIELD!!
* i'll be leading a team to go into uni during their orientation week next week to make contacts, invite to our classes & welcoming BBQ! pray for His enabling as i've never been a good leader :

* help us to lift Jesus up before these precious souls who come to E.C.C, that He would draw all people to Himself!
* empower us by His Spirit work through us to faithfully point lost souls to The Only Saviour!
* these precious souls would receive Revelation of Christ & be drawn to know Him as Saviour & Lord!

pray for the unreached!!

"'You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.'" Amos 3:2
Because Israel was entrusted with great blessings, her mandate was equally great: to bless all the families of the earth. When the chosen nation rebelled in selfishness and idolatry, her punishment was correspondingly severe. But is it not the same for us? Jesus declared, "From everyone who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked" (Luke 12:48). We who know Jesus Christ and who have the means to take the blessings of the gospel to the ends of the earth are obligated by our opportunities to do so.

Thank our Gracious God for our blessings, and acknowledge the responsibility they place upon us. Pray that He will keep us from the sins of selfishness and self-indulgence.
"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." Joel 3:14
Joel's prophecy foresaw that God would summon the nations to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, there pronouncing judgment on the wicked but declaring refuge for His people. As the prophet looked out over the sea of humanity in the valley, he was vividly aware that the great and terrible day of judgment was imminent. This prophecy was a picture of today's world, in which vast multitudes hang in the balance of decision. Will we give each human society the valid opportunity to decide to follow Jesus? Will we offer the refuge of salvation to the nations on whom the living God will pronounce judgment so as to save them from it?

Pray that God will raise up messengers from His Church and thrust them out into the unreached harvest field.

"As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His seat. The court was seated, and the books were opened." Dan.7:9, 10
Daniel was given a glimpse of the end times, and in particular, as seen in these verses, of the Great White Throne judgment seat. (See also Revelation 20:11-15.) The dead will then stand before the Father's throne and be judged according to what they have done. What an awesome vision for Daniel to behold! As he continued to watch, the Son of Man was led into the Father's presence and "was given authority, glory, and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him" (7:14). How glorious and how comforting! God has not given us an impossible commission. It will be accomplished as we yield ourselves to Him.

Thank the Lord for this glimpse of the future. Pray that He will hasten the day when through us, some from every nation will sing His praises.

pray for the unreached!!

"So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian." Dan. 6:28
Scholars have estimated that Daniel was about 90 years old-toward the end of his lifetime of civil service to successful regimes-when he experienced God's miraculous protection in the lion's den. God honored Daniel's faith and obedience and used him to bless Babylonians, Chaldeans, Medes, and Persians. We may confidently expect to enjoy fellowship together around the throne of God with members of each of these ancient peoples! Daniel was faithful to his mission. Will Daniel be able to enjoy fellowship at that same gathering with representatives of other people groups because we too have been faithful to the task to which the Lord calls us?

Pray that God will give us the perseverance to serve well like Daniel of old.

"'This is what you are commanded to do…you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.'" Dan. 3:4-5
Throughout history, many pretenders have contended for the allegiance of men's hearts. Nebuchadnezzar sought to command worship of his gods and his glory, but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to join the crowds in such idolatry. Likewise today the people of God are called to prophetically denounce idolatry in its many forms and point the nations to the one true God. Yahweh will not share His glory with another, and He longs for the people of the earth to turn from false gods.

Pray that God will break our hearts with the tragedy of a world bound by the futile worship of idols. He alone is God!

"In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever." Dan. 2:44
What a note of assurance, of triumph, of victory! God's unchangeable kingdom will last forever. These words of certain victory should encourage and strengthen us in the task of world evangelization. We do not yet see the Kingdom in its glory and power, but the Kingdom is here. It is among us. It is growing, pulsating with power as God calls and fills his people with the power of His Spirit. It is growing as God thrusts his people into a worldwide harvest, calling those from every nation to share in the glory of eternal fellowship with the Heavenly King.

Pray that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will strengthen our hands, quicken our minds, and encourage our hearts with a vision of His victorious Kingdom.

pray for the unreached!!

"In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it." Dan. 1:1
Dr. Ralph Winter has observed that throughout history when the people of God have failed to share the gospel with the peoples around them, He has often brought the peoples to the gospel-sometimes even with great force. Israel's idolatry and selfish failure to take the good news to their neighbors led to the siege of Jerusalem. Today's church has failed to take the gospel to all the peoples of the world, and so God has brought the peoples to the church's shores, most often not as military conquerors but as refugees, students, and businessmen. Are we willing to share with them our spiritual and material abundance?

Pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to respond to wonderful opportunities for ministry to "newcomers" in our own communities.

"…'I will overthrow what I have built and uproot what I have planted… Should you then seek great things for yourself? Seek them not.'" Jer. 45:4, 5
God admonishes us, as He did Jeremiah's scribe Baruch, to abandon a selfish ambition, which is not only futile but is also irrelevant. Most people spend their lives pursuing either things or accomplishments. It is nothing less than tragic when believers chase personal aspirations to the ignorance or neglect of the clearly-revealed purposes of God. In light of what God is doing and wants to do among the nations, can we possibly justify seeking great things for ourselves? "Seek them not."

Pray to yield your aspirations, ambitions and dreams to His perfect will.

please rejoice with me & pray for me~!!

look at the moon . . . I wanna be just like that ^__^
(that is, brightly shining a glory not my own, just simply faithfully reflecting His glorious light to all =)
-- i'm not an awfully faithfully bright reflector tho :"(
i'm ever thankful to Father for putting you into my life :D.. always valuing your prayers as we journey on toward HIM! :)
definitely not an easy journey but ever exciting =) sorry if this mail doesn't really 'fill you in' on what's been going on in his precious life He's given me, if you want to know more just ask~!
i'm totally enjoying the fullness of life that is found in living in His love & sharing (well, trying to share!) His love!
for some funny reason i've noticed myself being around girls alot more than usual lately.
not intentional at all, just an observation :P
and yes i'm still totally contented in being single in Christ & determined, God willing to stay that way!:)
-- faithfulness to Christ defines the value of life; all other relationships get their final significance from this. No family relationship is ultimate; relationship to Christ is.
-- John Piper
precious brothers & sisters, do rejoice with me!!
:D He loves me! absolutely! and He wants to share my life!
:D He's growing me to be increasingly certain that His love for me isn't connected to my performance! (because it's always far far short of His perfection!)
:D He's releasing me from the burden of doing things for Him & transitioning me to doing things with Him!
:D Father had never kept score of my performance because He wanted nothing more than to cultivate a relationship with me. He's done that, not by throwing my scorecard away, but by completely filling it out Himself in Jesus!!
:D God’s not counting anymore, and that means I don’t have to either!

*PRAY*
* i'd not be busy about "many things" but just be consumed with the only one who's necessary - Christ!
* i'd be secure in His love so the root of sin be destroyed & know how to live as His free child on earth!
* i'd stop blocking His Word from going from conscious thought --> conscious ACTION!
* i'd simply receive what He's given me already and Stop doing anything that seeks to earn His love and learn to do what i do simply because i already have His love! (BIG DIFFERENCE!)
* i'd stop listening to the lies that make it difficult for me to accept His love for me!

* He'd show me how to get past them!!
* He'd keep teaching me how to live loved every day & learn to recognize His voice in my ear and His hand in my life, and so want to be even more like him!
* I'd "labor according to His mighty power which works in me" (Colossian 1:29).
* show me any ways that i put my own righteousness before relationship with Him, thinking that my performance makes me more acceptable to Him & teach me what it means to trust Him in every detail of life!
* help me follow Jesus' style of evangelism - always being available, showing no favoritism, (especially to pretty girls / over those i might find it hard to get along / communicate with!), sensitive to the needs of those around me, loving those i witness to, and always having time to speak to others!

pray for the unreached!!

"If you put your detestable idols out of my sight … and if in a truthful, just and righteous way you swear, 'as surely as the Lord lives,' then the nations will be blessed by Him…" Jer. 4:2b
The Lord will act to bless the nations, but we also have a responsibility. We must put away our idols of selfishness, greed, and whatever else might be a hindrance. Are we willing to do that so the nations will be blessed? Are we willing to do what it takes to be good ambassadors of the One who calls us to the nations?

Pray that the Holy Spirit will point out our idols so that we can toss them aside and watch the nations be blessed!

"Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom." Is. 40: 28
Imagine the excitement of those who hear of their Creator for the first time. His power resulted in the Universe being created out of nothing. No god can boast of such a thing! And there's more: "His understanding no one can fathom." By giving allegiance to this Creator, people are joining with the One whose understanding is far beyond anything mankind can imagine. What a hope! What a privilege!

Pray that when the unreached hear of the One who created them, that they will marvel in such a way that it will be impossible to not worship Him.

"If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday." Is. 58:10
There is significant overlap between the "unreached people groups" without a church in their midst and the "hungry half" of the world without adequate physical and material resources. Isaiah reminds us that the people of God are called not only to spend their money to feed the hungry, but also to spend themselves, to pour out their lives in sacrificial service. That service cannot be a mere token. It must "satisfy the needs" of the oppressed. Isaiah also points out that those who serve receive the fruits of service: healing, answered prayer, guidance, personal provision, and joy.

Pray that our Gracious Father will teach us to "spend ourselves" on behalf of those who are desperately hungry both for bread and the Bread of Life.

pray for Danny (AUS)

it's uncanny, the way i seem to attract strangers asking for money. this was only one of many such incidents i've encountered . . .

- was on the way to meeting Hee Jeong & came across Danny - i felt the need to resist being purely cynical & suspicious, as i usually would be about strangers asking me for money ..

we talked a little & i ended up praying with him & passed him a BIG MONEY TRACT. :)

pray for Father to have mercy on Him & reveal Himself to Danny & his family!
- should i stop being generous to strangers asking for money? share your widom/ advice! experience! leave a comment!
