pray for the unreached!!

"So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian." Dan. 6:28
Scholars have estimated that Daniel was about 90 years old-toward the end of his lifetime of civil service to successful regimes-when he experienced God's miraculous protection in the lion's den. God honored Daniel's faith and obedience and used him to bless Babylonians, Chaldeans, Medes, and Persians. We may confidently expect to enjoy fellowship together around the throne of God with members of each of these ancient peoples! Daniel was faithful to his mission. Will Daniel be able to enjoy fellowship at that same gathering with representatives of other people groups because we too have been faithful to the task to which the Lord calls us?

Pray that God will give us the perseverance to serve well like Daniel of old.

"'This is what you are commanded to do…you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.'" Dan. 3:4-5
Throughout history, many pretenders have contended for the allegiance of men's hearts. Nebuchadnezzar sought to command worship of his gods and his glory, but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to join the crowds in such idolatry. Likewise today the people of God are called to prophetically denounce idolatry in its many forms and point the nations to the one true God. Yahweh will not share His glory with another, and He longs for the people of the earth to turn from false gods.

Pray that God will break our hearts with the tragedy of a world bound by the futile worship of idols. He alone is God!

"In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever." Dan. 2:44
What a note of assurance, of triumph, of victory! God's unchangeable kingdom will last forever. These words of certain victory should encourage and strengthen us in the task of world evangelization. We do not yet see the Kingdom in its glory and power, but the Kingdom is here. It is among us. It is growing, pulsating with power as God calls and fills his people with the power of His Spirit. It is growing as God thrusts his people into a worldwide harvest, calling those from every nation to share in the glory of eternal fellowship with the Heavenly King.

Pray that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will strengthen our hands, quicken our minds, and encourage our hearts with a vision of His victorious Kingdom.
