was tempted to get swept up in the whole iPhone hype / craze . . . 100 yrs from now i'll certainly be most glad i didn't!! ;)
i'm not condemning anyone who has an iphone. i'm just saying for myself, it'd be a needless distraction & a massive waste of limited time & money!
[sure, i may be able to put it to some good use, but is it really worth blowing hundreds of $$ on?!]

i regret all the money i've wasted on gadgets/ technological fads that have lasted as long as the Spice Girls' comeback :O
to think how the same money could've been invested into Heavenly Treasures "where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal."
how many eternally precious could've had a chance to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ & been saved!! . . . had i only invested in them and wasn't so distracted by stuff that didn't last too long before i broke it /lost it / it became obsolete. :S

Oh, my crazy covetous & idolatrous heart that gets easily distracted by "the latest & greatest" gadgets . . . :S

praying i'd not envy sinners, or covet any of their perishing possessions!
. . . how much more happier will i be, and others, that rather than spending $$ on stuff that doesn't last too long before it breaks / gets lost / becames obsolete, it can help the poor / serve to proclsaim the Good News of God's Kingdom to those still waiting to hear?!

so it's reasonable to conclude if earthly things do  appeal to me & attract, i'm not looking fully into the wonderful face of Jesus! :|

satan promises "better things", otten more easily, quickly & in a way "preferred" to God's plan - these are empty promises & lies!! he always wrapshis offers in claims that "seem" esaier, less expensive, and far less burdensome. our eemy's argument is essentially the same as the old "ends justifies the means" idea.
satans' 3rd temptation of Jesus was seeking to buy Christ's soul & his permaent loyalty. the cost for The Lord, if he accepted the offer of the worls' kingdoms would've been devastating beyond measure!
fotr us, satan's price is always far more than we are led to believe - and the goods we receive always incredibly fall short of what we had expected
[man, don't i know that disaqppointong feeling!]
thamkfully, Jesus reognised these truths & din't give into the final temptation. if he did accept satans' evil offer, Jesus would've disqualified Himself as both Saviour and King.
instead of rescuing the world, Hewould have joined it; instead of inheriting it, He would've lost both it and us.

What about the other half, the other “sinners”? The first group has access to the life-saving gospel, and a relationship with our sin-forgiving Savior. The other half, such as the Tindan people, looks to rituals and religion to heal this mortal wound. Don’t we owe the the gospel?

Pray for the gospel to quickly go to the peoples like the Tindans that still have no way to atone for their sins, and do not yet know the One who alone can forgive.

attracting dirt wile wearing purest white . . .

i don't know about you, but i have a particular paranoia everytime i'm choosing clothes to wear & i pick out something white.
i seem to have this special ability to attract dirt & all else that stains nice clothing :|
what pains me more is that i know i'm not the one who will clean up the mess left on my clothes, but my beloved mum who has lovingly worked all my life to keep me + my 2 sisters & brother with wardrobes stocked with only nice, clean clothes.
anyway i just had this "God-moment" when Father interrupted my thoughts as i was selecting which material to use .. and i came across that dreaded color again .. white.
whydo i dread to use white when the reality is that i am clothed in the very whitest of garments, the pure, spotless righteousness of Jesus Christ, The lamb of God who took away the sins of the woreld?
anyhow the onclusion from that blessed Divine moment in the mundane of my day was that i didn't need todread using hite, because reagardless of what physical color i'm using, spiritually i'm always clothed in the brightest & mot dazzling of whites- even if i know, and God the Father knows i'll "attract dirt -  sin" that stains such beautiful white clothing,
it really isn't about me trying to stay clean anyway!
but rather trusting in & glorying in the cross of Christ my Redeemer, who washes me whiter than snow . . . :D

HOORAY - THE LOST IS FOUND!!

. . . I was having a really blessed day off, everything was going well, and then through an incredible act of my Able-ness, I lost my Dodo plan sim card. 

That threw me into a flurried panic because i wanted to make some calls but couldn’t since the phone it was in decided not to work .. [yes, I lost it in the process of trying to switch the sim card to a different phone in my silly hopes I could find a working phone! – - silly because of my awesome ability to kill almost any piece of technology without even trying .. HA!] anyhow, I was frantically retracing my steps, turning my room upside-down. . . yes, i prayed.

i asked brothers & sisters online on MSN to pray for me.

.. I really didn’t want to waste too much time trying to find this … Father knows I’ve already wasted far too much time & energy on mobile phones & related junk .. :|

And then . . . nature called, and of course, I answered ;)

Times in the toilet are good to pray ;)

I could feel Father saying “peace! Be still!”

Who was i to worry?!

had Father’s goodness decreased because my foolishness increased?!

Of course not! It never has and never will!

I thought ‘I bet it’s in the most obvious place . . i.e. someplace I’ve looked over before” and guess what, it was!

GOD IS SO GOOD!!

What was lost has now been found!

He made my blind eyes see!

I feel like throwing a party ;)

.. I’m reminded of the incredible joy Father has as He painstakingly seeks out the lost sinner, and upon their returning home to Him, OH! The wild celestial bash that’s thrown for them!

May I seek out lost sinners with even greater energy & urgency than I did my lost sim card!!

i feel reubuked that so often i am more concerned over my silly little sim card than i am over lost souls who are of infinitely greater worth, dying all around me, every second!

 i was on the train to the Missions Team meeting last night, in my coldness i didn't "feel like" seeking & saving any lost souls on the train .. :"(
so i sat by myself, reading my book about God's attributes - chapters on His mercy & grace, yet silent & not doing a thing to let anyone around me know about His wondrous mercy & amazing grace!! -- there is definitely something wrong about that picture :(
something very wrong! :"(
typical hypopcrite i am, to be going to a missions meeting but with no missionary heart :"(
.. but Father wasn't about to give up on me!
before long He brought Eric to sit next to me.
i just knew i had to stop reading & speak to him.
although i didn't quite get to share the gospel with him - i probably wasted too much time on small talk :S
i did try to get him thinking about about what happens to him after he dies, & left an 'eternity' tract with him.
do pray for him! 
:D Jesus seeks & saves the lost .. and chooses to use frail, weak, common vessels like you & me!


... sharing the gospel scary & hard ?. . . NO WAY!!! THIS IS THE BEST NEWS IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
... BUT .. do we believe it is?

- i met Daniel at SNS last night - though he's been raised in "church", his father's an atheist.

.. he's unsure if he has a relationship with Jesus because of questions he has about Jesus, hell, what about those who haven't heard etc ..

wish i talked to him more about his eternity than i did on our short train ride together ... :S

may Father draw Him into His love before it's too late!

we've got NO EXCUSE to not carry the gospel to every nation because He has brought those from every nation to our doorsteps!

He Divinely Appointed me to meet Gavin, a dear brother who inspires me in being a true "fisher of men"!
Gavin has also been given a heart for asians, and so hosts a gathering for mostly international students in sister Choi's house [bless her beautiful heart!] over dinner + some sharing + a very interesting talk from the bible . . .
i was blessed to sit in on their precious small group last Friday~!

i'm learning ..

.. to STOP measuring Father by my own limitations
[and O, how very limited i am!]
.. that trusting in what i can see is a VERY limiting way to live!







i was out mowing with dad yesterday - everywhere the grass is growing crazy! after finishing our 3rd house,  the car was _full_ of bags of grass with (seemingly) no room for more. then dad tells me we're going to a new place.
"can we dump the grass there?" i ask.
"no, we'll take it away." dad replies.
"how?! there's no room for more!" say i.
"don't worry, i'll make a way" dad says.
. . . in disbelief i thought "no way."
To me the car seemed full with no more room for anymore big bags of grass ...
.. . or so it seemed! then by an amazing act of space engineering, dad managed to fit another big bag in!  


after we finished our 4th house, dad tells me we'll do one more. So again i ask,
"can we dump the grass there?"
again dad treplies, "no, we'll take it away."

"but the cars full, dad!

"i know what i'm doing!"

so after our 5th house, dad manages yet again to fit another big bag in! of course he could. he always does!

"dad, you're amazing! i don't know how you did it, but you did!"

Dad always knows what he's doing - but why do i fail so often to simply trust him?

This is an ugliness far worse than any ugliness that comes from physical aging - the ugliness of losing the simple, childlike trust in Father that doesn't question, talk back, or second-guess.
i can't imagine how much i've hurt my father's heart by the many times & many ways i've questioned, talked back, or second-guessed Him :"(

father is good.
father is wise
father is strong [much more than me anyway!]


who am i to question or doubt him when all my life, he's shown himself to be nothing but good, wise and strong. (even if at times i seriously doubted his goodness / wisdom / strength :S ]
makes no sense huh?

. . . praying for the grace to grow in childlike faith & stop acting towards father as if i knew any better! far out, what arrogance!

rejoicing in the gospel!!!

- member of the muslim students associaton i met today @ the Griffith Uni outreach.
it was more a monologue than a dialogue with him going on & on about how Jesus can't be God, the trinity can't exist, the corruption of the bible etc etc ..
i kept trying to change the direction of our talk from religion --> righteousness--> relationship but he seemed to be able to better take charge of conversations than the quiet, sheepish softy i am :S
to my shame, i was not armed for this encounter to make a proper defence for our faith :"(
*sigh* . . . this encounter with Yasid only served to stir up greater concern & compassion for my muslim neighbours .. he was sooo . .. BLINDED!
- - yet he is just one of a BILLION+ other muslims who've been deceived into lies that keep them from the grace, love & salvation found in Jesus Christ!
:D PRAISE! :D
:D now, more muslims than ever before are receiving revelation of Isa-al-Masih (Jesus The Messiah) and finding truth, freedom & life in Him!!

this is what Father is teaching me through the outreaches at Griffith Uni the past few days..

i learnt that i get discouraged *too* easily and then walk by feelings & what i see rather than by faith and the greater unseen realities. :"(
something i must repent of!
(Rom 14:23b "Anything that is not done in faith is sin.")

i was (literally) dragging my feet and ~not~ wanting to be 'out there' doing what seemed to start off as a 'lone ranger' outreach
...  and then . . .
:D Father was SOO SUPER-FAITHFUL!! to lift me up, sending me His angels to encourage me and give me strength~!!

:D through this, Father is training me to be a better interceder for missionaries - if i get tired, discouraged, disillusioned & distracted doing this (relatively small & non-risky) outreach, how much more those on the frontlines penetrating pioneer fields with all of its dangers?!
~ PLEASE BE FAITHFUL IN PRAYER FOR MISSIONARIES YOU KNOW -- THEY NEED IT SO MUCH!!~~

i'm thankful for the few good chats He's given me with Hana, Victor, Justin & Norman.
i'm also thankful for all the ones that seemed to go nowhere / were cut short / all that time i seemed to wander around not finding anyone who seemed 'talkable' .... if i needed to go through that just to meet ^talk to those below, it was worth it!

do lift them up to Father's throne of Grace as The Spirit leads!
- Hana: claims to be 'christian' but unsure if she has a relationship with God. but she wants to know Him!
- Victor - "free thinker" who seems to have had contact with the gospel before. needs Holy-Spirit conviction of sin to be led to The Only Saviour - Jesus!!
- Justin - a jewel :) just a few weeks fresh to Brisbane, really interested to know God! got to share the gospel in brief with him before he had to go.
- Norman - atheist, 1st year fresh to uni with no direction in life & no friends in uni. travels hours to get from the North coast to Griffith Uni on the South! may Father arrest his attention on his long commutes!
* the team as we do our last day tomorrow - it's 'market day' when all the university clubs & societies put up displays to recruit students to their groups.
expecting much distraction from allthat will the compete for their attention - may we shine all the brighter on such a dark campus!
* protection from satan & self (been really weak when it comes to going into really negative thoughts past few days) that distract me from the reason I'm there!
* may Jesus take back souls & territory the enemy has stolen & deceptively taken!!

i pray He'd help me *keep* my sins where they are - stamped out, on the ocean floor - and not try to go diving down to bring them before Him again & again!! :|

-i cancelled my mobile phone account with optus last month, but i received a bill today for $0.00 :P [if only all the bills for the last 10 years with them could've been for so much!] ;D
- spoke to Durre to check up on that. tried to refer her to fathersloveletter.com but she refused. may Father keep reaching out to her & win her into His love before it's to late~!

.. then i called  up translink to resolve some undercharged trips ..
:D thanks to their GPS errors i'e saved $0.66!! [that's $0.66 i don't need to waste on my next top up, or $0.66could buy 82 gospel tracts for those STILL WAITING TO HEAR THE GOOD NEWS OF JEUS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THEIR LIVES!!

i spoke to John to report the undercharged trips, while he said it was no problem & i didn't need to report them, i thought it was better to be honest anyway . . . it was no accident i spoke to him.

John = a precious soul Father loves & wants so much to bring to Himself!

still in the habit of referring customer service people i talk to on the phone to evangelistic websites - this time i referred him to http://www.operation513.com/

why not share this (or your own favorite evangelistic website) with strangers Father brings you into contact with? on the internet / phone etc?!

tell them there's an important message for them to see as soon as they can.

something i'm making more of a habit of doing with these exchanges on the phone with strangers is learn to see them as so much more than just a stranger, but rather as a precious soul, made & loved by Father who He wants to bring to Himself!

just doing my little bit to bring even one lost soul a step closer to The Savior :)

*sigh* what a woefully fallen world we live in, where children get cancer in their age!
=( the daughter of a Nepalese friend i made through English Corner is in hospital with a tumor he's been told is "incurable", amd because of work, he's seprated by 1000's of Km 
.. i told him even if he's told the a tumor is "incurable" - there is SomeOne who can cure ANY sickness! he knew i was talking about Jesus - i've been praying for his family for awhile now. do join me in pleading before Father that they'll despair of their nothing-gods, utterly abandon them & be found by The Only True & Living God who cares & who heals!
may He work through his daughter's sickness to bring the whole family to repentance & trust in Jesus!!
