"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of truth." 2 Tim. 2:15
God has committed His Word to us-the revelation of who He is and the statement of His purpose for us. In order to "correctly handle" this Word, we must understand and use it as God intended. God outlined His purpose for mankind in the Garden of Eden and His plan to accomplish that purpose in His covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). God's deepest concern is to bring people from every nation (cultural group) into fellowship with Himself. Today about 8,000 of these cultural groups have no Christian community in their midst. Our correct handling of the Word of truth will place priority on God's clearly-revealed purposes for these unreached peoples.
Lord, open our eyes to understand Your Word, and then lead us to obey what we learn.
