pray for the unreached!

"...there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
The Jewish leaders arrested Peter and John after Peter's sermon in front of the temple. The charges against them were that they had taught the people about Jesus' resurrection and had healed the cripple in His Name. Peter's defense the next day was characteristically simple, yet powerful. He once again testified of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, and charged the Jewish leaders with rejecting Him, God's Messiah. He affirmed that the stone the builders rejected had become the Chief Cornerstone. Jesus, and Jesus alone, is the only Way to salvation.

Pray that you will understand from the heart that Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone, the only Name under heaven by which we must be saved.

"It is not for you to know the times or dates.... But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses...to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:7, 8
Here Jesus answered the question, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" (v. 6). He said that the times and the dates for His return are known only by the Father. Two things we do know, however. We will receive the power of the Holy Spirit, and by that power we will be His witnesses, beginning where we are and moving out to the ends of the earth. Let us yield ourselves fully to this commission, empowered by His Spirit until men and women from every nation acknowledge Jesus as Lord. Then His Kingdom will come with fullness and glory.

Pray that the Father will move us by the power of His Holy Spirit to make us witnesses to the ends of the earth.

"When the chief priest had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money..." Luke 28: 12
It was damage control time for the elders and chief priests. They had Christ crucified, only to see Him raised from the dead. They could have bowed their knees to the Risen Christ and acknowledged their sins, but instead they bribed the guards to say that Christ's body was stolen. Perhaps this sin was even greater than having Him crucified, because they now knew the truth, and covered it up from others who might have believed. In today's world, there are millions who do not know about Christ's resurrection victory, so they are still ignorant of the way to salvation. Who will tell them?

Pray for many to believe when they hear that Christ is Lord over death.
