- he got fired from his nursing job recently .. it was an even bigger blow as he's trying to apply for a permanent residency visa
.. this left him feeling quite lost & worried in the aftermath .. after he told me, my heart went out to him & i wanted to be there for him to journey with him through this dark valley
.. but going through a spiritually dry period myself - left me doubting if i'd really have anything to give Yoshi.. i felt like a dry bone. what good was i to myself or anyone else??
yet again, Father graciously drew my eyes away from myself and onto Him, who's specialty is to take a broken vessel & make something beutiful froim it, to make streams of living water flow even in the desert, to take a valley of dry bones & make it live!
so i just availed myself to Him, and as always, He honored that :)
i spent the whole of last Friday with Yoshi, just listening to him & being there for him & pointing him to Jesus, who is the Oly true security & Hope in this world!
when he first arrived in Aus, he was more interested in religion / the bible etc but this interest all but died .. until now!!
(i kept trying to point him away from religion as a certain dead end, and pointing him to relationship with The Living God who made him & loves him)
so by the end of our day together, he was wanting to get back into reading the bible himself & possibly go back to "church"!
before he always wanted to be in control of his life ..now he's seen where that's landed him and he's ready to let go!
:D PRAISE! :D
:D the way He uses troubles in life to increase Christ & decrease self!
:D giving life to his dry bone that i was!
*PRAY*
* decrease Yoshi that Christ may increase in & through these troubles in his life
* be gracious & merciful to Yoshi, evealing Himself to Yoshi, drawing Yoshi into loving relationship with Himself!
* Yoshi would abandon his own agenda & embrace Christ!
