for some reason he always feels bad he can't always make it because of his shift work, but is glad to come when he can & has been wanting to join a small group for some time now but hasn't been able to [again, because of his shift work!]
anyhow, i often find him sitting by himself after the program's finished, and with my natural gravitation towards people who sit by themselves, was able to have a good chat with him about where he is spiritually - shared some insights from the VERY CONFRONTING & CHALLENGING article i read last night [see my previous post!] - at the end of our chat i asked him if there's anything i could pray for him.. he said i could pray for other people . . . - i replied "we all need prayer - i'll pray you have an encounter with Jesus" .. he said he'd like that :)
do ask Father to have mercy on Jerry, and give him such a revelation of Himself, that he'd find Life = JESUS!! & not get tangled up in the mess of religiosity / spirituality that's all over the place now!

. . . Sam has been God-appointed to come to Aus!
he rocked up to our E.C.C. last year, has since made friends with a few of the soccer-keen guys, & is now reading the bible for himself & wanting to "see Jesus"!!
may his request be granted =)
i look forward to all the "Jerrys & Sams" Father will bring to cross paths with His children this year to draw them back into relationship with HImself!
:D Jesus seeks & saves the lost .. and chooses to use frail, weak, common vessels like you & me!* we'd avail ourselves, frail, weak & common as we are to be His co-agents in seeking & saving the lost~!!
