had lunch with Jacob yesterday - this guy is mad keen on English, and i mean *mad*!
in the course of our conversation Father used my blessed gift of yawning to stir the conversation to Him!
Jacob thought i was yawning because i was tired - and i was - having gone to bed the night before and trying unsuccessfully to sleep, i got up & talked to Father, and finished re-reading an awesome book "The work God blesses" by Oswald J Smith - talk aout convicting stuff!
still didn't feel sleepy [no idea why .. :] so i started on another book in my pile of "to-read" books - "More than a carpentar" by Josh MacDowell - see http://www.josh.org/ :)
i was reading the book before i met Jacob, pulled it out to show him & he showed an immediate interest in it, taking it to read right there & then!
after enjoying a cheapskate lunch ($6 for the 2 of us!) Father in His goodness brought an opportunity to share the gospel! (well, part of it, anyway :)
as i was taking Jacob through the commandments, he kept diverting attention away from himself & talking about some sincere chistian guy he knew .. i kept bringing it back to him & God, we'd move onto the next commandment but again he'd divert! i could sense he didn't get how serious his sin was before God, and so wasn't quite ready for the cross yet .. i always hate leaving such conversations only having gone through the bad news when there is such glorious good news to get to! but i didn't want to share the gospel INCORRECTLY~!(see www.sohmer.net/wotm_only_way.php <-- DO take the time to read it -- THE ETERNAL DESTINY OF SOULS MAY REST IN IT!

*PRAY*
* Holy Spirit would bring conviction of sin to Jacob's heart, that he would flee to The Only Saviour before it's too late!* open Jacob's blind eyes to see Jesus!
* open Jacob's deaf ears to hear Jesus!
* breathe life into Jacob's dead soul so he can live to glorify Jesus!
* use the book to those ends prayed for above~!

your enfort won't be wasted. God are working and won't let any sinlge lost sheep stray. Everyone needs one defining moment for his conversion having a new life. Let's pray. ^+++^
