It would be very easy to be impressed with the various people groups this month who have a way of making money that seems to defy mathematics. Groups like the Yadavas are enjoying the material goods offered by their station in life, but they are missing out on eternity. To over simplify things, in eternity you are either with Christ or away from Him.

Pray that the Yadava people will understand their spiritual poverty and take Christ with them for eternity.

I make a real mess of things when I operate independently of Father :(

- thanks brother Hugh! It keeps pointing me to our Great Soul-Doctor – Jesus!


.. as I was reading a section on how we deal with the debt of guilt & unforgiveness by transferring it onto another person, I talked to Father: “please don’t let me ever encounter a prostitute – you know how weak I am – I’d hate to transfer the guilt of my sin onto anyone else except myself.” – Suddenly the light switched on - I hadn’t truly realised in my heart of hearts that in spite of all my accumulated head knowledge about the cross and what happened there - I still had in fact _not_ left the full debt of my guilt & shame there at the cross - - but in ways I carried it with me, as if somehow I had to pay for it myself :”(

In light of the glory of the cross, tell me, what could be more tragic than that?!?! :”(

I highly recommend this book to everyone who calls themselves a “Christian” – I’ve found many soul-issues that have long been undealt with and because they’ve been brought to light, I’m now on the road recovery! X-D

- a very encouraging younger brother in Jesus i finally got to have lunch with yesterday!

why is he such an encouragement to me?
- at a time when i was doubting the fruitfulness & effectiveness of being involved in English ministry, Father let me meet him & he shared of how Jesus wonderfully saved him & his girlfriend through coming here & working on a farm!!!
he was once a strong anti-Christian, and now he's family~!!! [see photo above]

WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE SREVE~!!

currently, his girlfriend, Katie, is suffering from strong headaches for the past 2 weeks [!]
* may Father glorify Himself through sickness (see John 11:4)
he'll be returning to Korea late next month . ..
* please pray with me for God to strengthen Mickey in his relationship with Jesus so he'd withstand the many temptations of returning to his 'old life' in a high-pressure society.

Many of the unreached people groups that we are praying for this month are in a dilemma. They have much wealth, but they don’t have Christ, the One who holds eternity in His hands. In many cases, such people hold onto their wealth, and forfeit eternity, even when they are given the chance to know Christ.

Pray that the Punjabi Sikhs, many of whom are given the chance to hear the gospel, will put their faith in the eternal promises of Jesus, even if it means losing worldly wealth.

The Shaikhs seek abundance. Their community began as merchants, seeking wealth in lands newly conquered by Islamic armies. Yet there is something starkly missing in their lives. They have material, but not spiritual riches.

- met Ken on the train to a missions team meeting - started chatting & longed to get to matters of eternity, but he seemed unbelieviing in God because of all the suffering he'd seen. i challenged that notion - that too often we blame God, when often we bring the suffering on ourselves :|

. .. i should've gone into sin & how our offending our Maker is to blame for all the suffering.

why i didn't .. i don't know :"(~

he shared a few things from his recent trip overseas & i told him it appeared God had sent him angels at opportune times from the things he shared. . .

but , he said he didn't want to continue the conversation. :S

anyway i need a changed heart attitude towards 'Aussies' - just because i find them "hardened" to spiritual matters, it's so much easier to go for other ethnicities without being too bothered about the reality that unless Aussies put all their trust in Jesus & His saving work for them, they're lost in the dead end of their sins in hell forever!

The Bohra communities have worldly wealth, and they try to have spiritual wealth as well. They have been seeking for hundreds of years to look to the right leader to help them obey God more fully.

In many ways, the Memons are a “righteous” community. They are noted for their selfless giving, and their willingness to avoid the excesses of many other Islamic communities. But to be truly “righteous” they need to be willing to embrace Christ and His ways.

he's curious about religion - he studied buddhism but thought it good to study another religion so he chose Christianity. i passed him a bible :)

 . .. it was quite sad & tragic to see how satan has blinded Sho from Truth & Reality - he believes in himself & following his way is ok, and going to hell is of no consequence or concern to him :"(~ 
Now, multiply that by 100 Million+ as this is probably the way most Japanese view 'life'

*PRAY*

* have mercy on Sho + other Japanese who've been blinded by satan/themselves from seeing The Truth & bring them to flee to The Saviour before it's too late!

* give Sho open eyes to see Jesus, The Lover of his soul & ears to hear Jesus calling him by name, drawing him to Himself & a heart to respond to His Word in faith to pass from death to life!

"I can guarantee this truth: Those who listen to what I say and believe in the one who sent me will have eternal life. They won't be judged because they have already passed from death to life." - Jesus John 5:24
 - i told Sho that The Bible is One Story about One Person and to read it with a mind to get to know The person of Jesus Christ.
* please pray with me for Divine Revelaion of Christ to be given him!

* God in His mercy would not let Sho waste his life giving glory to anyone/anything else but save him so he might bring glory & pleasure to Jesus!

PLEASE PRAY: Floods Devastate Already Impoverished Areas

Your prayers are desperately needed for Bangladesh and Manipur, India, where floods have once again brutally taken lives and pushed people out of their homes. The floods also damaged several of our Bridge of Hope centers and churches.

When I feel that I am growing weary of hearing about the endless suffering, I put myself in the shoes of the individuals whose physical lives are now in ruins through no fault of their own. This always puts my heart back in the right place. Please do not forget them as you pray.

The Sindhis seem to have it all; wealth and a good name that comes from hard work and an ability to overcome difficult situations. Yet it will be easy for them to believe that they have all they need. What will it take for them to understand their spiritual needs?

Pray that Sindhi community leaders will understand that they are spiritually poor, but they can become spiritually rich through Jesus Christ.

we had a good time catching up on Monday~! [he took a train all the way from the Gold Cosat to meet~!]


wow.. it was sad to hear of the crises he & his 'homestay mum' have been going through . . . 
humans are so wicked :"(


- yet i think of how often Father uses crises in life as instrumental to bring lost sons & daughters back Home! :D
he said he's lost is standard in life - like his life has no more foundation.
:D thank God He reminded me to share the story of the foolish & wise builder - pointing to The Only Sure foundation to build life on is hearing & doing Jesus' Words~!


and through these crises -
:D both he & his homestay mum have started going to church & see their need to believe in God!
-- though this may seem like a positive step, from what i've heard from many Koreans is that 'church' connects people to a religious machine rather than to a Living Relationship with Jesus :"(

.. he really wants to get Permanent Residency here but keeps coming up with obstacles... so he might be leaving  by the end of this year . ..

i met Sho through English corner last week and found out he has an interest in Christianity & we've been trying to find a suitable time to meet for a week before he returns to Japan in 11 days.

well, tomorrow [14/10] 1pm is the day! :)

* i treasure your prayers for me that i not be led astray merely answering questions he may have about 'religion' but that i stay steadily pointing him to his dire need for a RELATIONSHIP with The Saviour - The Man, Jesus Christ!

thank God for those i can bless through these phones others leave behind - many visiting internationals use mobile phones while in Aus but no longer use them upon returning to their homeland =)


. . . being the big anti-waste man i am, i can't let opportunities for one person's trash to become another's useful treasure~!


not only for those who've broken or lost their phone, but even those fresh to the country & yet to buy one~!
