Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for His needs. Among them were Mary Magdalene… Matthew 27:55-56a
It is a very sad thing when a woman loses all of her dignity and falls into prostitution. But such women, like the one we read about today, can find comfort in the fact that one of Jesus’ key followers was Mary Magdalene, a former prostitute. Though one might lose their family and community because of this degrading profession, there is always room for repentance at the cross!
Pray that the Muslim Azerbaijanis will find that in Christ, there is always room for one more sinner at the foot of the cross.
