pray for us!

"Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life" Rev. 22:17
Have you ever stopped to think about the cost of that "free gift" of the water of life? It cost nothing for us, but everything for our Lord. That is the real difference between Christianity and all other faiths. The water of life is free to every repentant sinner who will bow the knee to Jesus. How the unreached Muslims, Animists, Buddhists, and Hindus need to know this! But, before their hearts will open to this gospel, we must pray. As we begin to pray next month, why not recruit someone to join the army of pray-ers?

Father, help us to be faithful next month as we pray for those who need to depend on You for the water of life.

"On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit.... And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations" Rev. 22:2
The book of Revelation fittingly ties up all the loose ends unraveled in the book of Genesis. But there is great progress as well as restoration. God began with a beautiful garden; He closes the scene with a glorious city. He started with a tree of life; now we see an abundance of fruit-a new crop every month. "And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations." Those groups that have suffered ruin because of sin will find healing and wholeness because of the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry of those willing to "go into the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation."

Lord Jesus, the nations and peoples of the world are so broken and bruised by sin and hate. Bring healing, gracious Lord!
