"Instead, they were longing for a better country-a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them" Heb. 11:16
How easy it is for us to be caught up in trivial affairs. God wants our vision to be fixed on what is eternally meaningful-proclaiming and demonstrating that He is King, and living with heaven in view. God delights in His children who dream His dreams after Him. Are your dreams too small? Hundreds of years ago Francis Xavier urged his college companions, "Give up your small ambitions and come to India!"
O God, give us the eyes of faith to see both the joys of heaven and the opportunities of earth.
