after a night of abolute rubbish sleep .. i spent the day playing the tour guide [amazing that He kept me energised throughout the day!] to Hee Jeong - a friend of a baby sister ... it's truly amazing to see God's work in Soo - do keep praying for her!! see - http://lifesshortprayhard.blogspot.com/2008/05/praise-pray-for-soo-kor.html
it was SUCH a bizarre encounter.. for perhaps the 1st time in my life i felt like some kind of "hero" as i was able to help her out with some 'settling in issues' to life in a new country.

:D the precious souls He brings into your life when you just follow Jesus =)
:D Jesus seeks & saves the lost .. and chooses to use frail, weak, common vessels like you & me! ... sharing the gospel scary & hard ?. . . NO WAY!!! THIS IS THE BEST NEWS IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
because He lives in us & we live in Him, we can be partners with Him in His awesome rescue mission!

*PRAY*
although i didn't get to verbally explain the gospel of Jesus with her, please pray for time & opportunity for her to encounter & respond to Jesus in a real & personal way! be it through me or others ..
* Christ manifest His victory & preemimence over every obstacle hindering Hee Jeong from coming to Jesus in repentance & faith!
* reveal Christ as INFINITELY desirable & INFINITELY satisfying to Hee Jeong, bringing her to True Repentance & Faith before it's too late!
* we'd see Hee Jeong in heaven worshipping The Lamb because He's Worthy!! along with others there because she in turn passed on this gospel & didn't keep it to herself!

* have mercy on Hee Jeong, work supernaturally in her heart to forsake sin, follow Jesus, the Son of God in a life of faith! & not let her waste her life giving glory to any other than The One who made her & gave His life for her!

* bring more Divine Appointments her way as she studies & lives in Australia to help open her blind eyes, unstop her deaf ears & enliven her dead heart to receive Real Life!

"Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned." Song of Solomon 8:7
This book of the Bible not only gives a verbal description of the intensity of love, but it explains the value of it. The love that one has for their spouse pales by comparison with the priceless love that God has for humanity. Yet most go through their entire lives not knowing about His love. What are you willing to do to make sure they know His intense love?

Pray for God's direction to His Church as we draw others to experience His intense love.

"O daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you-if you find my lover, what will you tell him? Tell him I am faint with love." Song of Solomon 5:8
Can you even imagine being "faint" with love for the Lord? Wouldn't this be the ultimate experience, to love Him so much that you cannot contain yourself? Do we love the Lord Jesus Christ, our heavenly bridegroom, with the passion and purity of the love this bride has for her husband? Do we truly regard His love as the most precious of all forms of pleasure and satisfaction? Do we honor His longing for a bride who is both beautiful and complete?

Pray that you will be so "faint with love" for your Lord that you will obey Him in all He says to do for the nations.

"I am my lover's and my lover is mine." Song of Solomon 6:3
When we gaze upon the beauty of our Savior, who loves us with an everlasting love, the significance of Solomon's words comes home to us: He is ours and we are His. He claimed us as His "bride" before we claimed Him as our "groom." We did not choose Him, but He chose us and loved us, and then set us free to love Him in return. He chose us "to go and bear (lasting) fruit" (John 15:16). Unlike the love between a man and his wife, the love between Jesus and His disciple is meant to be shared with many others. This way His love can spread throughout the earth.

Pray that Christ's beauty will be in us so that those who don't know Him may come to know Him intimately.

"He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love." Song of Solomon 2:4
This "banner" suggests that the one word to describe how the Heavenly Bridegroom feels about His bride is the one word, "love." It's not "judgment," "obedience," or "forgiven." Oh, how great a love our Savior has bestowed upon us! His is far greater than the love between a man and his wife. As a woman enjoys the loving protection of her husband, so all who know Jesus are under the protection of His love. But what about those who don't know Him-those who have not heard?

Pray that the nations will respond to the banner of love when they hear.

- i would like to go & 'sit in' on an upcoming TESOL course but my dwindling energy levels are holding me back & really making me feel completely unsuited to going on like this . . . not sure if it's the enemy's attack or Father slowing me down to get me centred on Him & not what i do "for Him" would much appreciate your prayers that i stay abiding in The Vine, truly apart from Him i can do nothing!

also i fear if i do go along to this TESOL course i could end up trusting in newfound english teaching skills rather than trusting in the power of His gospel as the power of God to save all who believe, as well as focus too much on the whole english teaching aspect of this ministry rather than focussing on sharing the gospel!

was playing with my niece this afternoon, she seemed extra-happy today!
. . . nothing like being with a happy child to brighten the day!

my niece - happy, carefree, over loaded with toys & a loving family blessed so she can live such a "good life" . . . this is NOT the case for million of children on the world!

* Remember the estimated 60-115 million bonded child laborers in India. Lift up the thousands of children in forced prostitution, including temple prostitution. A large percentage of these children are Dalits ["untouchables" in the hindu caste system] or from other low castes.
Pray they will find freedom in Jesus. Pray for the missionaries who minister to Dalit families, that God will lead them to share Christ with the desperate parents before their children are drawn into these forms of bondage.

how grateful am i?

highlights of these past 7 years? :D rejoice with me~! :D
:D waking up in the reality of Heavenly Father's tender affection for me & growing in knowing His incredible love that goes far beyond knowledge! (see Ephesians 3:17-19!!)
:D blessing me with the very greatest of all blessings-sins forgiven & a loving, intimate relationship with God Himself!
:D I'M ALIVE !!!!!!! [even though many times along the way i've wondered "why?!"]
:D sending so many angels to minister to me at *just* the right time!
[in ways that you may or may not have known, Father has blessed me through your being in my life & sharing parts of this awesome journey with! I truly do thank God for you! :)

:D showing me in a very real way what it is to find true strength in weakness!

:D _flooding_ my life with joy & hope in the midst of sadness & despair!
:D the amazing ways Heavenly Father turns the messes I make out of life into beauty & blessing!

All over the world, there are people who fear gods and keep their commandments. They know very little about the only One who has the right by way of creation, to expect obedience. Billions of people have wasted their lives obeying gods that aren't God. Don't we owe them a chance to know and embrace the only One who has the right to command them?

Pray that missionaries will find those who fear God, and are willing to join His Kingdom.

"Be generous: Invest in acts of charity. Charity yields high returns.
Don't hoard your goods; spread them around. Be a blessing to others. This could be your last night.." Ecc. 11:1-2
Solomon's exhortation for us to share our blessings carries with it the reiteration of a major biblical theme: we receive when we give, we are blessed as we bless others, and we experience real life as we experience daily death to self and sin. How difficult it is for us to really believe the truth of such a paradox! How easy it is instead to clutch at our possessions so that they won't slip through our fingers. Yet God honors the man or woman willing to take Him at His word.

Pray for faith to Be generous, Investing in acts of charity!

"I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere Him." Ecc. 3:14
Eternity-this is what Solomon describes here. Eternity is what God is about. Most people live their lives for what is highly perishable. Why put your resources towards a high definition TV set or an earthly home, when you can invest in eternity? Think about it! Above all, pray about it!

Pray that our Heavenly Father will teach us to think of eternity every time our eyes get distracted by the material world.

"(God) has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecc. 3:11
Author Don Richardson has employed the phrase "eternity in their hearts" as the title of his thrilling account of God's redemptive activity among the peoples of the earth. Richardson has discovered evidence of the knowledge of the One True Creator God in the ancient stories and legends of people groups from every continent on earth. Yet these stories, and the yearnings for eternal truth they express, are not sufficient to lead men and women to saving faith in Jesus Christ. "How can they hear without a preacher?" Paul asks. "And how can they preach except they be sent?"

Pray that the Lord will sharpen our sensitivity to pray for those who need Jesus.

"I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind." Ecc. 1:14
Can you imagine going through life with this mindset? Everything is meaningless! Most people throughout history have lived and died with little or no purpose other than to survive. Doesn't our loving Heavenly Father want more for us? He certainly does! You have found the most important purpose of all, to glorify His Name and to expand His Kingdom. Isn't that worth telling others?

Pray that we will have the boldness to tell others of His meaningful purpose for life: to love God, and to make Him known.

"'Meaningless! Meaningless!' says the Teacher. 'Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless!'" Ecc. 1:2
If anyone could ever affirm the truth of this statement, it was the author, Solomon, King of Israel. He had it all-power, wealth, honor, glory, wisdom, and a large family!. Yet he proclaimed it all worthless. Why? Solomon had forfeited the enjoyment of God's blessings by his disobedience. Even though he was used of God to bless the Queen of Sheba, Solomon encumbered God's plan to bless "all the families of the world" because of his sin of idolatry. With the channel of blessing diverted to personal pleasure, Solomon evaluated life as vain, empty, and futile.

Pray that we will learn from Solomon, and stay focused on the things of God rather than diverting His resources to our personal pleasures.

* Jesus will increase and that the "leaders" will decrease and exalt Christ instead of themselves. May they forget the channel, seeing only Him!
* all the leaders that I/we will not only teach the sound procedure of how to do biblical theology and handle the bible properly, but that we will inspire the delegates to see God in His glory and all the amazing things that are recorded in the bible for us to uncover and be addicted and desire to adore him more! (material can be dry and sorta makes the bible appear like a manual that you can use if only you know how, if you know what I mean, so wanna inject the excitement that the bible deserves into it).
* lasting lifechange will result from encountering God through His Word & His people!

WOW, i'm still alive!!!

GOD WORKS WHEN WE PRAY!! -- I'M LIVING PROOF!!

- i had another accident yesterday [#3 in 7 yrs] .. walking backwards while mowing a lawn.. i tripped & fell hitting my head on a brick wall [?]
-- i thought it was a parable of so how dangerous it is of how i "exist" more based on my past [i.e. i've been figuratively 'walking backwards'] rather than focusing on the glorious future in store for me. :S
:D rejoice with me~! :D
:D filling my heart & mind with songs of rejoicing while waiting in hospital between various tests etc
:D - WOW! i'm still alive by the AMAZING GRACE of God~!![ yes, i fell over again .. :S] but i walked out of the hospital hours later with a few stitches on my head & funky patch to cover up the bleeding. i even got a free top woohoo! ;)
:D blessing me with family & friends who support me in every way through good & bad times!
:D preserving my life & most functions [no sign of any new brain damage from the CT scan]
i must've fallen into God's arms again!

:D Father always catches me so well whenever i fall!

:D the beautiful way He uses our failures to lead us away from trusting in our own strength or wisdom, to seek what it means to put our trust in him! [He Loves Me!, p100]
because of this, our failures worth the pain they cause!

:D Father always gives us every reason to trust Him, and never any reason to doubt Him!
-- obviously, Father's not finished with me just yet!

* clearly show me why He's kept preserving my life after every fall & give me ears to hear what He has to say to me!
* keep me from drowning in selfishness & self-pity & self-destuctive thoughts!
* God would turn this "accident" into the second best thing that's happened to me!

* God would use this 3rd fresh chance at life He's given me to reveal His love & life to many more!
* i'd tap into God's love that's so deep for me that i never need fear again!

* i'd discover how much God loves me and in doing so to drive out the fears in my life
* i'd live out Philippians 3:14! -- forgetting what lies behind & press on to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.
* keep me ever trusting in His love .. how prone my heart is to wander & live in fear :(

- i'm feeling really easily tired lots since the fall, pray for grace to enjoy resting in His arms rather than wishing i were elsewhere doing this & that "for Him"

* keep me focussed on trusting Him & let obedience flow from that!

* show me how to embrace a relationship with Him His way and not my own!

* i'd begin every day NOT aware of my performance but willing to stake it on God’s mercy!

pray for the unreached!!

"Rescue those being led away to death…. If you say, 'But we knew nothing about this,' does not He who weighs the heart perceive it?" Proverbs 24:12 Today millions of people in thousands of unreached people groups continue to be "led away" to death by the evil one. How will we respond? Will we pretend ignorance when we meet Jesus face-to-face? Or, recognizing that He knows our hearts and guards our lives from destruction, will we seek to rescue unreached peoples from a Christless eternity? Pray that we will remember that we must all appear before His judgment seat. Commit yourself again today to "holding back" the unreached peoples by your prayers, your funds and the missionaries you send. "A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor." Proverbs 22:9 One of the key ways that believers glorify God is by showing genuine compassion for the poor and the suffering. When disaster strikes, it's the Christians who are most likely to respond. We don't do it to be "blessed," but to bring glory to Christ's Name. Is His Name being glorified by the money you send and the actions you take to help the suffering? Pray that the Lord will show you how He wants you to give, so that He will be glorified.

Proverbs 19:21

"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

The Lord's purpose will prevail, but will it be His first, second, third, or fourth choice? It's very easy to allow our plans and ambitions to get in the way of what the Lord really wants for us. Do you have any "non-negotiables" that can get in the way of the Lord's first choice?

Pray that we will allow the Lord to be Lord over all aspects of our lives, so that His purpose will prevail. - our new baby brother in Jesus~!!
he's come along a few times to our activities, a friend of a sister . obviously Father's been preparing his heart :)
one of the sweetest things is hearing a lost soul come honestly before God & pray to Him - no scripted "sinners prayer", just a sweet genuineness i think brings great joy to Fathers' heart =)
we had a discussion on "personal time with God", after lunch a sister shared the gospel with him.

had a great day out with Rich yesterday, although i didn't get to share with him all i wanted to, but i'm trusting Father is over all things & is able to do whatever it takes to draw Rich to himself. :D

found out that his desire to be baptised was more because of his contact with a mormon church see www.carm.org/mormon.html in Taiwan, rather than a genuine desire to follow Jesus.

he thinks he's got to be baptised to become a child of God & he's unsure if he qualifies :|
anyway spent the whole day accompanying him as he tried to finish doing all he wanted to do in his short holiday here - in the afternoon when he went to visit his former home stay family & said he'd call me maybe after 1.5 hrs - time rolled on ... no call, i thought perhaps he might have dinner with them & maybe i could get home.
gave him a call [despite my ridiculous call rates!] but he was busy & said he'd call me .. i wasn't sure how long i'd have to wait .. was feeling a little tired & i felt like going home. yet i felt Father telling me to just hang on ... just like me to always want to take the easy way out and just call it a day, thankfully He's been answering my prayers to be more sensitive to His Spirit & to follow His leading instead of just going my own way ;)
ended up going to dinner with him & his friends, after which we were deciding what to do .. we concluded it best to just go home, but one sister wanted to have a talk with him about baptism & Jesus.
although she admitted to not having talked so openly bout Jesus with nonchristians before, she did a totally great job!
... just to encourage any of you who also may not openly bout Jesus with nonchristians, put yourself in Fathers' hand & see what He can do in & through you -- it's amazing :)
please do keep praying for Rich, his wife Sunny & their soon-coming chid .. & their families.
* may Christ reveal Himself as INFINITELY PRECIOUS to them, granting them repentance unto life & a faith in Jesus that even death can't destroy!
* may we love those around us enough to speak the truth to them while there's still time & stop taking the easy way out!

Proverbs 18:15 "The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; and the ears of the wise seek it out." How do you feel when you are told that you need to learn new things? Are you prepared to allow the Lord to jar you out of your comfortable life with the news of thousands of groups of people who have no church? Are you willing to take the time to study about them and learn all you can so you can be a part of His plan to bless them with the good news of new life in Christ? Pray that the Father will open our minds to learn about those who are isolated from the good news. Pray that He will use this prayer guide to stimulate us to action.

Proverbs 16:25

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."

Even with access to God's Word, it is very easy to stray from His instructions. Our ways are not His ways, and we can easily get side-tracked. Yet we have no excuse since we have God's Word, the Bible. What about those who do not? Don't they have the right to know?

Pray that all the nations will have His Word. Pray for God to grant success to Wycliffe Bible Translators goals to translate the Scriptures for every language by 2025.

For the past 2,000 years, the gospel has been available to be preached, but the workers have been few. Many breakthroughs in technology and transportation have made it possible to get this life-changing message to more people. Ships, airplanes, films, radio, and the Internet are all great tools, but many are still out of reach. Do we have any excuse to withhold this great message? Or is it just a lack of concern?

Pray that we will do what it takes to give good to those unreached nations who deserve a chance to enter His Kingdom.

Proverbs 16:2

"All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord."

Part of what is difficult about frontier mission work is the motivation. There have been times in Church history when mission work was misused by people who used it to expand the political power of an empire. The Russian and the Spanish empires both used mission work to expand their influence among newly-conquered peoples. But in each case, there were missionaries who wanted to glorify God rather than a measly empire.

Pray that our hearts will be pure as we pray for the unreached, so that we will have the power to keep His Kingdom first and foremost in our hearts.
