pray for us!

"The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace." Psalms 29:11
God is our constant source of strength. Without His strength, we could not endure the daily struggles of following His ways. He gives us supernatural strength each day whether we know it or not. Those who have no access to Christ do not have a way to share this glorious strength. One of the reasons He strengthens us to extend His kingdom to such people. Are we willing to be strengthened for this purpose?

Pray for God's strength to pray without ceasing for the lost nations.

"The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic." Psalms 29: 4
I have often told Perspectives classes that if I had a million dollars to give to one group, it would be Wycliffe Bible Translators. Why? The voice of the Lord is powerful, and He speaks through His Word, the Bible! Throughout Church history, you can see that the nations that have His Word can stand up to adversity and persecution. Those that have fellowships, but no Bible, often cannot. The voice of the Lord is powerful and majestic, and we can experience it by reading His Word. Shouldn't others have that experience as well?

Pray that the nations will experience the voice of the Lord through the efforts of Wycliffe Bible Translators as they make Him known. Pray for accuracy in Bible translation projects.

"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." Psalms 24:1
Isn't it a joy and a privilege to belong to the One who created us? Whom else would we want to belong to and serve? Because He created us, we "belong" Him. He also claims us for His own by the right of redemption (Heb. 2:9). We who acknowledge Christ as Savior and Lord know we are not our own. We are "bought with a price" (I Cor. 6:20). Doesn't that inspire you to want to share this good news with those who don't yet know that they belong to the King of the Universe?

Pray that the Lord will burden our hearts for thousands of peoples still without a witness. Pray that the Holy Spirit will prepare the hearts of individuals in those people groups to hear and respond to His Word.

"What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?" Psalms 8:4
Isn't it about time we spent a month in thanksgiving? This month, we will focus on thanking the Lord through His Psalms for all He has done for us, and for what He will do for the unreached nations. This time of thanksgiving can spill over into next month when we focus on Christ's birth. First of all, we can thank Him for loving us, and giving us the chance to be part of His kingdom, though we don't deserve it. God loves puny man, a life form on a small planet rotating around an ordinary star. What an awesome thought! Shouldn't we share this truth with those who don't know?

Thank Him today, that He cares for you, and for those who haven't yet had a chance to hear of His glory and mercy.
