on the bus into the city, Neela sat next to me with her 5-month old son [his name means 'conquer' in Singhalese] in a stroller. we got chatting, and really couldn't afford to waste precious time on superficial banter, so i quickly swung into matters of eternity (knowing more than likely she would get off the bus before too long). she had never thought about where she would go after this life was over. i confronted her with death's imminency that she [buddhist] can know for sure where she's going, though her buddhist religion wouldgive her no such assurance. not enough time to delve fully into the gospel before her stop arrived, but THANK GOD FOR GOSPEL TRACTS!!
