We know that we should pray. We know that we should pray for others as well as for ourselves. And when we fail to pray, we recognize the lack of God's blessings. But how often do we consider Samuel's point-that prayerlessness is a sin against God Himself? The living God invites us to commune with Him; to disregard His invitation is an affront to His goodness. The purpose of the Global Prayer Digest is to encourage one million Christians to pray daily for those thousands of peoples walled off from the good news of life in Christ Jesus.
