Joseph's perspective on the sovereignty of God gave him a powerful lens through which to interpret both his life and world history itself. Scripture tells us that in Christ the same perspective Joseph had is assured for us today: God causes all things to work together for good . . . to those who are called according to his purpose (Rom. 8:28). That purpose is to bring the blessing of a covenant relationship with the Creator God to every nation, tribe, people, and language. When we are walking in the light of that purpose we can be sure to always have the proper perspective on everything that happens in our lives and in our world.

Pray that God's redemptive plan for the Khondh people will become so apparent to them that they turn away from the worship of false gods, and embrace their Creator

"Abraham had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold." Genesis 13:2



One of the surprising and yet widely misunderstood principles in Scripture is that God has no problem with making people wealthy. All throughout the Bible God raises people up to positions of power and influence. However, the purpose of this blessing must always be understood in the context in which God has placed it. He said to Abraham, I will bless you . . . and all peoples will be blessed through you (Gen. 12:2-3). Without the purpose behind the material success, that which was intended to bless can become a curse. The solution to this dilemma is to understand that we are but stewards of blessing for the purpose of redeeming all peoples to Him.

Pray that the Haddi people will soon realize that their blessing comes from Christ, not from entering a Hindu temple.

Chandala People In India


The concept of a name bears a lot of weight in Scripture. God chooses to reveal Himself to different people with different names that have a unique meaning to that person or people group. A prominent feature of the Old Testament is God encountering people and giving them a new name, meaning their character was forever changed as a result of the confrontation. In the New Testament we read of those who overcome being given a new name, which only God knows (Revelation 3:12). Names have significance, for good or for bad.

In India, the name Chandala is a derogatory expletive used to describe the untouchable Dalit communities in the Indo-Aryan speaking regions. Imagine what these people must feel like to know that their very name is used as a curse word! Upon arriving in different nations, it is not uncommon for people to change their name to a more user-friendly version according to the traditions of their new country. Yet some Chandalas have changed their name when they go to neighboring Bangladesh to escape the negative effects of the word. Pray for this group of so-called untouchables in India, where even their shadow is said to defile someone. Much like the lepers we read of in the Gospels, Jesus wants to touch the "untouchables" who have lived on the outskirts of society. Pray that they may come to know and identify with Jesus Christ, the One who Himself was "despised and rejected by men…one from whom men hide their faces" (Isa. 53:3, NIV).-MB

Today it feels like I’m drowning in a messy pool of sinful self-contradictions between all that I know in my head to be true & the disgusting way my thoughts & actions go directly against all i “know” to be good & true. :(

So once again, I come humbly asking your prayers as we journey on toward HIM! :)while it’s definitely not an easy journey, it is ever full of promise =)

* change my appetite so the food that keeps me going is to do the will of Him who sent me & finish the work HE started! (John 4:34)
* keep exposing all the subtle but deadly substitutes for God i make so that they’d be DESTROYED!
* i’d passionately resolve to resist anything that lures the heart away from an all-consuming satisfaction in God.
* I’d be so preoccupied with Jesus, not self!!!! – too often I’m more aware of my own weakness, inadequacy, & sin than I am mindful of His strength, adequacy & perfect righteousness that covers me!
I’ve been considering moving on from the international student ministries I’ve been involved in for the past 7 years … probably because of reasons related to the previous prayer point, but at a recent 10 year anniversary celebration for English corner, Father seemed to be saying “continue … “ pray I’d obey!
* His wisdom & purity would shape all my thoughts and conduct towards women!

i've been blessed to read "why revival tarries" by Leonard Ravenhill -- SUPER-CHALLENGING, SUPER- CONVICTING STUFF!

i could've just stewed in feelings of negativity, but by His grace, He helped me to trust HIm & just be available =)

:D providing another sister to meet with Youngha & So eun, so allowing me to avoid a potentially unwise meeting arrangement with them!!

:D blessing me with a phone to bless another brother with who was having problems with his phone. .. even though this particular phone has cost me much to fix ... i'm wondering if i should give up helping in this way as it's not very economically viable. then again, i always opt for the cheapskate option for serving people.

maybe i should just quit being so stingy!! >_<

Here in Genesis chapter four we find an interesting contrast between two groups of people. The first descend from Cain, and they are identified by their careers, by what they are able to do. In this group are musicians, herders, metal smiths, and builders of cities. But the second group's identity is found in their relationship with the Lord. Today is no different. Most people, when asked to say something about themselves, identify who they are by what they do. But a few choose to identify themselves by Who they know.

Pray that the Ghatwar people of Orissa will cease to be known by what they do (prostitution), and will soon be transformed in such a way that they will be known by Who they know.

grace to APPLY what I've learnt through the past 8 weeks times delving into Philippians
[a MAJOR weak point - - I can listen to much yet do so little .. :"(]

* i‘d build my life on the foundation of His Words in Luke 6:27-38!

* keep freeing me from the idol of food that I’ve made! >_< -- perhaps I should go on a permanent fast?! :P

* my heart would be fully sold out to Jesus!

* the driving force of all i do would be to please Jesus!

* i’d know what is THE MAIN THING that HE wants me to do & *FOCUS* on that! .. still feeling like i‘m just involved in many “good” things without actually being still long enough to ask Father if they were actually the things HE wanted me to commit to. :(

* keep healing my soul & mind that’s been polluted by lies for so long.

* ALL of my self would be lost in order to gain Christ!

* His wisdom & purity would shape all my thought and conduct towards women!

The mandate to fill the earth and subdue it has clear parallels to the Great Commission. As we go forth in His Name, we are reclaiming this vision of seeing worshipers, who worship in spirit and in truth, giving glory to God in every time-zone on this planet, among every nation, tribe and people. The end result is that at any given time on this planet, praises to God are going forth. While in one time zone a session of praise and worship is coming to a close, in another it is just getting started. Built into the solar system itself is all the technology required for an entire generation to pray and worship without ceasing. Truly our God is an awesome God!

Pray that the Oriya speakers of Orissa might reflect back to God the beauty and majesty of all that He is.

i was told that So Jung needed a mobile phone.
thank God for those i can bless through these phones others leave behind - many visiting internationals use mobile phones while in Aus but no longer use them upon returning to their homeland
. . . being the big anti-waste man i am, i can't let opportunities for one person's trash to become another's useful treasure~!
not only for those who've broken or lost their phone, but even those fresh to the country & yet to buy one~!
we are SO blessed~!!
if you/ or anybody you know has any old or unused BUT STILL FUNCTIONAL mobile phones, it'd be a nice gesture if we could help supply them with a phone in Australia, potentially saving them lots of $$ !!

- met at conversation corner yesterday - she caught me when she was in a very low state over life in a foreign land with dwindling confidence in her English ability ..
tried my best to cheer her up, which seemed to work.
as her newfound friend we exchanged phone numbers & emails, i don't know why, maybe because it's my usual custom with international students, but i tend not to make this offer to girls much : it was probably an unwise thing to do -- i told her she could call me anytime.

[which, despite their gratefulness, rarely gets taken up!]
i'm definitely super-paranoid things could get too friendly too fast! >_<
.. even though i warned her to be careful about Aussies who're too friendly because they have some dirty ulterior motives [which seems to be going on more! :],
i know i'm not excluded from falling into temptation.

yikes!

please pray for Gwen. may Father give her friends to connect her with Jesus!

and for me too .. to excercise greater wisdom, conducting myself with all wisdom maintaining all purity for His glory!

- met him at a post-English corner dinner two days ago .. he was looking for a tutor, a brother sitting next to him at dinner was a tutor! ;D
had lunch with yesterday, over which he told me he "received salvation" 10 years ago but doesn't give God the time of day now to even think about HIm much ...

.. it triggered off alarm bells mmediately in my head!
see this sermon i recently listened to "How Do I Know Im Saved" by Paul Washer.

he thinks he's going to heaven because he believes in God ... i told him the devil believes in God but he sure isn't goin to heaven!

and so we kept going around in circles .. by the end he was unsure of where he'd go after he dies.. i challenged him to be sure because it's cazy not to be sure!

*sigh* .. in hindsight i really should've pointed him to The Saviour ... maybe in a not-so-convicting way .. how could i be so soft when so much is at stake?!

the unreality i live in really is appalling :[

perhaps i need prayer as much as Charles does!

please pray for us as The Spirit leads you.

AAAHH!! HELP! :
yesterday, Youngha told me she'd like to meet me to read the Bible in English together.
So Eun, sitting next to her, was also interested to join.

please understand that given my lifelong struggles with lust, i'm especially hesitant to spend extended time alone with girls, even if it's around a "spiritual activity" :
wish i wasn't so incredibly weak in this area, but i think Paul's patterns for this in Titus 2 were spot on & wisest to be adhered to!

:D Youngha & So euns' [and i'm sure many other sisters too!] desire to know Father better through His Word, even in a 2nd language!

* provide sisters further ahead in this journey than they are who'd avail themselves to help Youngha & So Eun in their walks with God!

* help me see what He's doing in this situation & partner with Him in what He's doing!

- met on bus. [woh, feels like =such= a looong tme since i last initiated a conversation with someone on the bus~!]
he says he's a christian because his parents are [catholics] . . .

do pray for him & the many others who wrongly think they are "christian" because of family heritage!

... i didn't get enough time to share the gospel with him ... the only gospel tracts i had on me probably weren't the best for his English level.
.. tying to find some better gospel tracts usng God's law as it should be used, that communicates the gospel effectively using more basic English .. any ideas anyone?!

One of the most remarkable truths the Bible tells us is that the One who created the heavens and the earth didn't do so anonymously. He desires to be known, and can be known, and has revealed all of His divine attributes in creation itself (Rom. 1:20). Indeed, God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out and find Him (Acts 17:27). That men in every nation have sought to find God is evidence of this reality. Bible translators have yet to find a dialect that is without a word for the Creator God! At the same time, all peoples have found that there is something that separates us from our Creator. The ruins of our decaying bridges to reach Him are there to remind us.

Pray that the whole earth, and every nation, might be filled with the knowledge of His glory as the waters cover the sea.

"Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the water. And God said, 'Let there be light.'" Genesis 1:2-3
When compared with the vastness of the universe in which we live, our planet is but a tiny speck of dust. But it is God who takes something that is formless, empty and insignificant bringing order and purpose. The first thing he does in this process is speak words that bring light. Here in this light we come to see that it is God, our Creator, who gives everything its significance. That is why the message we bring is so powerful: we have the ability to connect every nation's story, and indeed every person's story back to God's story, with its light-giving introduction and eternal conclusion.

Pray that all unreached peoples might find their purpose and identity in their Creator.

* stir up a hunger in these precious souls to want to know The God as Father~!

* GiHo claims to have been a Christian but was turned off by the many bad examples he's seen ... may Father open his eyes to see Jesus & not be distracted by bad representatives!

* we'd see these dear lost souls in heaven, loving Jesus much because they received revelation of Jesus, along with others who're there because they didn't keep the treasure of His Kingdom to themselves!!

* Nations would be impacted as they send their bright future leaders abroad to study English to add to the multi-cultural beauty of Christ's Bride, The Church!

* provide them with friendships / accomodation/jobs/ that will go towards the ends prayed for above :)

* raise up laborers for the harvest to help in these English Corners, especially for the new one starting in the Gold Coast!

* keep getting a nagging feeling English Teaching is NOT for me . . . really need Fathers' direction for what HE wants me to do, where & how!
