How long has it been since you last shared the good News of Jesus with someone?


I was challenged by this question through the bible storytelling weekend.

Jesus gave them a command to obey: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. This is a command, not a suggestion. “Interest in missions is not an elective in God’s university of grace. It is something in which every disciple is expected to major.” (Ironside)

:D keeping me secure in the miracle of His daily delights in me because He made me!

:D everything I’ve ever wanted that Abba, in love, did not give me! :D


simple things in life i thank God for:


* normal bowel motion!


* being able to eat food without it exploding out the other end!


* painful lessons learnt to break bad habits!


* sleep that’s not broken up with crazy running to the toilet!!!

I’m happy :D ~thank You Jesus~!


:D I am NOT just a hurting person destined to live in the broken-ness of my past!!!


:D I am a covenant child of God being made whole and walking into my true destiny!!


:D teaching me more about who I am & my singlehood!


:D I am so much more than just my disability, inadequacies, weaknesses, past failures & future fears!


:D all my “failures” are really opportunities to learn & grow!

:D my greatest wickedness can be redeemed by God!


:D My past mistakes don’t disqualify me, but train me for His high call!


*PRAY*


* help me see interruptions as opportunities and not obstructions (opportunities for Jesus to be at work in so much more than I could have planned for the day to bring life, restoration, dignity, worth and value to someone!


* Help me be able to live each day fully using all of the strength, power and grace that He desires to give me


* boldness to seize every opportunity to share a bible story as His Spirit leads!

[i hold myself back way too much!]


* help me move forward in faith when He calls me to move!

* Help me look beyond the darkness and impossibility and see possibilities in Him and Him alone.


* Help me trust that He is there and will always be there, even if I fail!!


* Help me to desire above all else to walk day by day within the provisions of His covenant blessings.


* lead me the right avenues where i can apply all i've learnt, to encourage God's people & share Him with those still outside his kingdom!


* help me to not put circumstances before Him!
.. disability.. limitations .. Inadequacies... Weaknesses...


I DON'T want to keep quiet about my Lord Jesus, yet too often I do! :(

Urgent Prayer Needed!

IRAN: Pastor Stands Firm in Faith, Faces Execution


Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani refused to recant his Christian faith yesterday at the fourth and final court hearing in Iran to appeal his death sentence for apostasy (leaving Islam). Applying sharia (Islamic law), the court in Rasht gave Nadarkhani, 35, a final chance to recant Christianity and return to Islam in order for his life to be spared. Nadarkhani refused.

It is critical for foreign governments to negotiate and engage in diplomacy with Iranian authorities about Nadarkhani’s case, a defence lawyer said, adding that advocates in the international community fear that authorities may execute Nadarkhani as early as midnight tonight or any time in the coming week. The court said a verdict on Nadarkhani would be issued within the next week. “They probably won’t kill him today, but they can do it whenever they want,” the source said. “Sometimes in Iran they call the family and deliver the body with the verdict.” Source: Compass Direct

* Pray God's perfect peace that passes all human understanding over Youcef and his family. Thank Him for giving Youcef the grace and strength to remain faithful. Ask the Lord to intervene in this case.

had a short & sweet time with Sam yesterday before he left Aus.
.. didn't get around to talking about spiritual matters, ..

* please pray with me Holy Spirit will keep working in Sam's soul to reveal who Jesus really is to him, & draw him into a saving relationship with Himself!

pray for Bible story telling workshop [16-19/9]

i'll be away at this Bible story telling workshop Fri-Mon

i've heard it's a great non-confrontative way of sharing God's story with people (who doesn't enjoy a good story?!)

.. seen it in action quite a few times & found it a really good tool for communicating God's truth for all people, all ages, all cultures, all places & all times!!

... so I would really covet your prayers for us there as we get equipped to share the story of His glory in ways that communicate effectively to people's hearts!!


 especally praying i dont just go & come back without any REAL LIFE APPLICATION!
(this is really my weakest point!!) .. feel free to check up on me & ask me how i'm going with this!

SO thankful Abba Father has me in the spiritual family i'm in with Rochedale Baptists!

SO ALIVE in The Spirit & actually LIVING for The Kingdom!!!
on Sunday, i was struck by this Qn brother Rog used in his doorknocking to plant a church in an inner-city suburb 
- if God could do a miracle in your life, what would it be?

. .. then pray for them, that God would do miracles in their lives & so bring peoples to Himself!

-- i was looking fwd to using it on the checkout clerks i'd often see while getting my cashout bonuses, but often they're too busy :(

.. so i was on my way to lunch yesterday, got on the bus and sat next to Ryan with his big guitar case, got talking about guitars, after i'd asked about huis guitar playing, he asked me about my guitar playing, which was a natural springboard to share about the brain injury :D
- how i'd nearly died but because Jesus is so real, alive & powerful, i'm ALIVE!! :D

so i asked him, "if God could do a miracle in your life, what would it be?"


he replied to live for his music .. he's an audio engineer .. who really wants to live for his music .. i had to get off to transfer to the next bus .. i started praying Father would do the miracle of turning Ryan into a white-hot worshipper & living for music that brings great glory to Jesus!

then on the next bus which ended up being empty for a good while, i got talking to the driver, found out his name = Tony. asked him "if God could do a miracle in your life, what would it be?"
 he replied to be well & happy.

i asked him if he wasn't well & happy already?


he said he was fairly well & pretty happy. so I asked him again,

"if God could do a miracle in your life, what would it be?"


he replied for his son (Christopher Paul) tocome back from Rockhampton & get a job .
. that would be a miracle!

this morning Jo - a Dodo customer service caller offered me something i didn't need
[a "better" plan i've switched to in the past but ended up costing me more, even though i thought i was getting more for the same price!]
without spiritually discerning, [my weakness!] i mistakenly asked her the same question of "if God could do a miracle in your life, what would it be?"

she replied for world peace .. [that's a miracle coming soon!
"He stops wars all over the world; He breaks bows, destroys spears, and sets shields on fire." Psalms 46:9


.. especially in her country.
but she was not at liberty to tell what her country was .. [my bad, she was only calling to sell me something, not to  discuss personal matters . .. oh well, no harm trying!

speak shalom over Jo, her family & her country .. may healing be brught to her nation [Abba knows!] as Jesus shows His supremacy & increases, as self decreases!

the real punchline of the Qn was that after promising to pray for them is to make contact after 1 week to see how God had answered prayer.
but chicken me didn't get Ryan, Tony or Jo's contacts so i could check back with them

 ... praying for more courage to do so next time, and trusting Abba Yahweh to work, regardless, in the meantime! :)

~SO~   **EXCITING*** to be living in the supernatural~!

The past 3 weeks has been quite an adventure! Father has taken me to higher highs... also lower lows :[
The song lyrics at the end “Everytime I Fall” by Jaci Velasquez really capture where I’ve been & am :D

lately, I’ve been especially weak against habitual sins,–even more crazy given the wonderful encounters with God I’ve been having!


.. but the speed of recovery has improved! :D

Some awesome tidbits from David Guziks’ commentary on the denial & desertion of Jesus by His disciples:


even if we deny Jesus or forsake Him, He still loves us and wants to woo us to repentance and restoration.

Jesus’ love and restoration is greater than your failure. Come to Jesus and let it be about Him, not you!

… I was struck at a recent bible study at how most of Paul’s prayers in his writings were for Christians, not non Christians!
It’s to my loss I’ve not sent out an update for a few weeks... the weakness in my life is proof of that =( so dear brothers & sisters, let’s keep lifting each other up in prayer before The Throne of Grace!!!

* give me the gift of quality sleep! With dreams purely fixated on the glory of Jesus & NOTHING ELSE PLEASE!! [keep having disturbingly bizarre dreams, so when i awake, I’m tired, vulnerable to temptation & confused :|


* keep me all about Jesus & NOT about my failures!

* help me see Jesus in me – to see myself correctly, so help others see themselves more clearly & be a life-giver to them!

* keep me living as a man & leaving my boyish thinking dead & buried!
