If you want to know what God has done, read the Bible through! Next, reflect upon His creation surrounding you. Then look at history, and see His hand moving upon men and nations to fulfill His purposes. Read books and periodicals to marvel at those new things He is revealing to men from His treasures of wisdom. Finally, search your heart and meditate upon His work in you. You should find within yourself a threefold response to what you have seen and learned-the same threefold response the psalmist gave: gratitude, prayer, and a passion that these things be proclaimed to all. Amid this week's preparations for Christmas, let's reverently recall the great passages in Scripture which anticipate and describe the birth of Jesus Christ. Then, let's allow the drama of the great event to give focus to our prayers for the unreached peoples. Christmas is the most "missionary" time of the year!

Global Recordings Network--10K Challenge


* MUCH MORE about this people group at the JOSHUA PROJECT

What is invisible, untouchable, but capable of reaching the most remote and isolated people around the globe in any language? Radio broadcasting! As the gospel is translated in more languages, Global Recordings Network (GRN) Australia is broadcasting these recordings over the radio. As of April this year, GRN's existing library of 5,600 vernacular recordings has inspired this group to aim even higher. Their new challenge is to add another 4,400 languages and dialects equaling 10,000 by the year 2020. Thus, the 10K Challenge!

Many people don't have access to the gospel because of illiteracy. These people can hear the gospel through GRN's efforts. There are also many people groups that can't accept the gospel because of their religious background. It is by way of the cross GRN hopes to win Muslims for Christ, encouraging us to pray fervently and frequently that "God will give us love for our Muslim neighbors and the opportunity and ability to share God's love and truth with them."

Pray that radios will be available for the unreached to hear the gospel, and that they will tune in to these broadcasts. Other GRN workers ask for prayer for good health and help to finish their translations. Pray for the Lord to give them wisdom and reliable resources. The Widow�s Mite
Are you grateful for Calvary? Do you look at the cross with tears in your eyes? Then show God your gratitude. Give Him the "widow's mite" of your evangelistic witness. The incident of the poor widow giving her last two coins to God shows us that only the gift that costs, counts. God knows what it costs you to stand up for the Gospel. Perhaps for you to give a tract to an unsaved person may be equivalent (on a "courage level") to some other Christian standing up and preaching in the open air. Don't let fear stop you. You can do it. Don't listen to your fears. Say, "If God is for me, nothing can be against me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Then do it. Civil law is still on our side-you'll not be thrown to the lions. Let the devil eat dust.
There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

He had been commanded to kill all the Amalekites and all their flocks, but in disobedience Saul saved a few of the best of each. When questioned by Samuel, he insisted that he had disobeyed with the best of motives-"to sacrifice to the Lord." How do we today often seek to evade the clarity of the Great Commission? By citing family obligations? personal ambitions? the absence of a "call"?
