Those who overcome are those who see Jesus afresh, who keep the Heavenly vision in front of them at all times. The surest way to be defeated is to get your eyes off the ONE THING and get them onto the "many things". The Spirit of Antichrist does not require you to bow down to satan, it only hopes to cloud your vision of Christ. The problem with the church today is that we lack this seeing of Christ. We have lost sight of Him, and in His place we have programs, church services, end-times predictions and interpretations, plus a million-and-one other things that all add up to "zero" without Christ. Even worse, we think those things ARE Him.


* The wisest & most practical thing I can do in all of life – relationships, work, sex, speaking, eating is to think of Father & respond to Him!

* God deliver me from "things" and show me His Son! We must learn to keep the focus of our heart on the Lord Jesus Christ, Who MUST increase. Then there is no room for "things" anymore. They are simply swallowed up in Victory

* deliver me from an independent spirit – keep me childlike & humble before Father!

* His purpose would keep unfolding for me!

* I’d stop letting opportunities pass me by!

* though I bask much in His abundant grace – pray I share as much as I've been given!

* deliver me from the idol I’ve made of food - it’s definitely on my mind too much & affects the way I relate to people [or not relate to people because I’m stuffing my face :|]


Not sure if prayer is the best way to be rid of this idol . . or should I go on a permanent fast? :
I don’t know . . . :|

* cleanse all the filth I’ve collected in my mind & keep me ever-filled with Him, seriously avoiding collecting anymore filth in my mind [especially hard in our society that’s being raped by immorality at every turn!! :(


* I’d LOVE good & HATE evil with PASSION – HIS PASSION!


* I’d not waste this precious life He’s given me but help me listen to wisdom, awake, ready & responsive to its voice every moment of I’d everyday!

* keep me drinking deep of the springs of the fear-of-God living water so I won’t go drinking from the poisoned wells of this world!

:D after a month since our last meeting, we got to go through the 3rd session of Christianity Explained [explaining the Resurrection & ts implications for us] - it started with Eva asking me "how do you support your living?" - a question i've grown to love more & more, as it's a pefect springboard to share about how Father provides all my needs, how i'm blessed to be disabled and how Jesus gave life to me when i was given up for dead [almost!] 
:D Niro continues asking good questions!

*PRAY*
- they both forgot to do their homework [reading Mark 6-10] so this time they're to read from Mark 6-16 before we next meet - i stressed that rather than thinking of that as "punishment", it's more a great reward because they get to discover Jesus for themselves!   
* Jesus would keep revealing Himself to Niro & Eva as they read through the gospel according to Mark & win them into His love!  


* appoint a good time for us to keep meeting - NIro has changed  his course & now has a variable schedule.

pray for the Arab Woman's Conference!

Abuse of women is commonplace in much of the Muslim world, both in the Middle East and Africa. Long held gender bias and customs have resulted in women being treated as servants, property or worse. A husband and wife team, Lewiza and Samir Youssef, are trying to make a difference. They are media missionaries with MBMS International (a Mennonite Brethren organization), and so far they have conducted five annual conferences for abused women. The 2008 conference was held in Cairo, Egypt, and included seven academically trained counselors who served as both speakers and workshop facilitators. Following each seminar, women raced to the booths to order copies of the message. The conference concluded with a salvation message through drama, and attendees were invited to know Jesus Christ.

Volunteers have continued to follow up with the 155 Arab women attendees. A special time during the conference was devoted to wives interceding in prayer for their husbands. God heard that prayer! Women reported that as they returned home, they were greeted with loving support from their spouses. Lewiza and Samir host a variety of TV programs, aired 26 times a week. They receive thousands of emails, phone calls and letters from people wanting to know more about Jesus. The 2009 conference is being held as this article is being written.

Pray for this organization's outreach to touch all women in the Middle East and North Africa, and to ultimately touch their families with the kingdom message of Jesus Christ.-JS

The verse goes on to say that Mary was "troubled" by this angelic greeting. It must have been hard for her, a Jewish girl of about 14, to think that the God who created the Universe would "favor" her. Jewish men often thanked God that they weren't created as dogs or women. Ironically, the God they prayed to has a very different view of women.

As we pray for fruit to come from the Arab women's conference, pray that these sisters will recognize the favor they have with God and their importance in building the Kingdom among all nations.

Oh that my heart would break for those enslaved to sin, oblivious to the life & freedom Jesus died to give them!

This Christmas season, we need to begin by remembering the purpose and the message of the One who was born in Bethlehem. Matt. 4: 17 is the headline, so to speak, of Jesus' message. When we repent, we turn from our old ways, and adopt the ways God has for us. It is a lifelong process, one that makes the Christian walk an adventure in learning and obeying. One of the sins we need to repent of is that of neglecting those without the gospel. Is there anything you need to repent of in this area?

Pray that the Holy Spirit will show us what we need to repent of, so we can be more obedient to His ways.

This illustrates a common misunderstanding that Saudi Arabs have about followers of Christ. When they see people in the "Christian" West indulging the sinful nature, they believe that our "religion" condones such action. What if they saw Christ's followers serving one another in love? Is there any way they could argue with that?

Pray that Christ's followers in the Arabian Peninsula will serve one another and their Muslim neighbors in love, as a testimony of Christ's true character.

- Physically I’ve been feeling sleepy – a lot!- had a few episodes of bad sleep where I go to bed but don’t fall asleep for hours.. coupled with bad quality sleep, this leaves me feeling tired throughout the day & ineffective for serving anyone, but The Lord Himself! :)


* been getting a strange feeling in my leg when I walk sometimes . . . hard to describe it but it makes me wary of walking too much. I must be getting old! :O


* may He take this frail & broken body & glorify Himself in & through it!

hooray! what a blessed weekend! thanks for your prayers!!
most often asked question i asked people was "what is he meaning of your life? why do you want to live?" . . . most hadn't thought about it before & asked me what my answer to that question was. how blessed i was to be able to share multiple times that life's meaning isfound in knowing The God who made us & enjoying HIm forever, tolok to Him alone as The Only Way to answer this most important question!

:D w00h00!! giving us another ~beautiful, fun weekend away with these precious souls in the midst of His ~beautiful~ creation!

:D all the friendships made & strengthened, as well as meaningful conversations that happened!

:D inspiring a sister to bring bibles to give as Christmas gifts, given out after we performed the Christmas play for hungry & thirsty souls wanting to know The Gift of all gifts given to them on that first Christmas 2000 years ago!

*PRAY*
* protect & water every seed planted & bring it to fruition to bring much glory to Father & extend His Kingdom!* cause many of them to question the meaning of their life & find the answer in Jesus, especially over this long "boring" Christmas holiday time when alot of the free English conversation classes are on holidays too.



* sovereignly work to allow these precious souls to accept The Gift of Jesus this Christmas  & pass it on to others yet to receive Him!

* The Son would rise & shine especially in those yet to receive a revelation of our Long-Awaited Saviour now come!

"Turn my heart toward Your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things…" Psalms 119: 36-37


Selfish gain. Those two words can sum up the activities of sinful mankind since the beginning of sin! Perhaps the Kurdish peoples have been even more exposed to those who seek selfish gain than most of us. Their ancestors endured the brutality of the Ottomans, the Mongols and many other empires. But here, the Bible implies that selfish gain is "worthless."

Pray that the Herki Kurds will gain God's wisdom to seek His statutes rather than selfish gain or anything else that is worthless in the eyes of God. Pray that many will soon seek first His Kingdom and righteousness.

If our churches and communities are not radically transformed, our Christian liberties will very soon be swept away by a tidal-wave of oppression and sin. Our nation is on the verge of self-destruction, and our only alternative is revival! As a nation we have continued to stray because the Church has stubbornly failed to pray!

May this shake all who are lukewarm and indifferent- from Catherine Booth; "Many do not recognize the fact as they ought, that Satan has got men fast asleep in sin and that it is his great device to keep them so. He does not care what we do if he can do that. We may sing songs about the sweet by and by, preach sermons and say prayers until doomsday, and he will never concern himself about us, if we don't wake anybody up. But if we awake the sleeping sinner he will gnash on us with his teeth. This is our work - to wake people up."

We are barren and deficient in prayer, patience, purity and most importantly a sacrificial love for Jesus. Until we as the body of Christ return to these holy principles, true reformation and revival will not be realized; Oh Lord break our hearts and open our eyes!

- been talking to Father about life – how weird I am that when I’m attracted to any girl, my first response is to keep a “safe” distance from her in the name of “wisdom”.
--  actually it’s really fear. Fear of myself & all i could possibly mess up if I were to get into a serious relationship I can’t handle. (so I’m living in fear of myself more than anything else)


. . . But since when was living in fear wise? Father tells me wisdom is in fearing HIM, NOT living in fear of myself & the sin that remains in me!


*PRAY*


* I’d ONLY be involved in that which satan opposes!


* Psa 119:34 Give me insight so I can do what you tell me-- my whole life one long, obedient response.

* Psa 119:36 Make me want to obey you, rather than to be rich.

* Psa 119:37 Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets, invigorate me on the pilgrim way.


* Psa 119:171 Let praise cascade off my lips; after all, you've taught me the truth about life!

* I’d live by faith, NOT fear [especially fear of my self / the imaginary future!]

* I’d not wait until I ‘have it all figured out’ before i step out & follow what He wants for me!

* I’d stop being such a cheapskate & thinking as if by saving few cents here & there is really going to do that much good [especially when it comes at the expense of my health! E.g. walking in the sun to save on bus fares :P]

* i'd manage the house well while my parents go on holidays!

* enjoyed dinner with Chilean/French Jeremy  & walked toward his home - as far as it was on the way to my bus stop -- should i have walked all the way? i left him wih a big $100 gospel tract telling him it was about the one thing he definitely could NOT leave until the last minute to plan/ prepae for! BUT . .. if it really was so important, why didn't i seize the opportunity to go through it with him then & there? sure i felt tired & wanted to go home . . . but eternity is at stake!
