found out her husband is not the most expressive, especially when it comes to loving her

sadly, i was feeling really tired at the time .. . felt i missed a brilliant opprtunity to introduce her to The Lover of her soul! :(

she asked me a Qn i often get: 'do you have a job'?

praise God for what felt like an inspired answer - "i don't have a formal "job", where i do things for myself, i have a LIFE where i can share & give to others!" :D
* please pray for wisdom, strength & energy to share this Life Eternal in me with the many who need Him!!

i met Mike as i was on the way to the bus stop yesterday - it was a summer day in spirng & guess who forgot to take a water bottle? :P turned around, went home to get it [ + some more gospel tracts than i had on me], thankfully i was still in time for the bus [no way i wanted to miss travelling in air con on such a hot day!], made some small talk & found out he was catholic, who thought he'd go to heaven so long as he kept going to confession & not do anything too bad. 

what a sad deception to gamble your eternal destiny on :{
before long he had to get off the bus, i handed him a gospel tract . . .  
stupid me, to have wasted time on small talk rather than get to the heart of the matter - the eternal salvation of his soul!

do pray for Mike, and the deceived multitudes who are blinded by self & religion from seeing their need to turn from themselves, to Jesus & fall at His feet!
also for me, that i'd be more urgent in sharing the gospel, being wise & discerning about when & how much to "be friendly" vs. proclaiming the gospel boldly!

As a follower of Christ, you know that the nations urgently need to hear of His justice, mercy and salvation. But as the father of modern missions, William Carey, pointed out over 200 years ago, most people don't have a choice to choose Christ. For centuries their forefathers have offered them something other than God's perfect ways. Isn't it only right that peoples like the Inghilois have the chance to be glad and sing for joy to the One who rules justly and guides the nations? Don't they have the right to worship the only One worthy of our praise? Don't we owe them that chance?

Pray that God's rule will soon extend to the unreached Inghiloi people.

- we judge others negatively because we deny the ugliness in ourselves instead of accepting ugliness.


- accepting ugliness in ourselves makes us accept ugliness in others :)


- EMBRACE your weaknesses & ugliness!


Infinite Supply for November 13
When we cease trying to do what we cannot do then the Lord will begin to do what only He can do anyway. The Lord is Infinite Supply. So it does not matter if we have much or little, if we are skilled or unskilled, if we are experienced or inexperienced. "And when they had done [what Jesus said to do] they caught a great multitude of fish, and the net broke" (Luke 5:6). Peter, James, and John can try as they might and do their best, but without the word of the Lord it is in vain. They might have saved themselves a lot of effort had they sought the word of the Lord to begin with. Which would you rather have: a whole night of wasted effort on your own, or five minutes of abundance with the Lord? Yes we should work, but first we must wait. And if we will wait for the Lord then we will have Infinite Supply for the work at hand.

- my silence at times is just sinful in light of Hs incredible love & faithfulness! :(

* I’d open my mouth always & not quit telling everyone of His love & faithfulness to me!!

* I’d wait for the Lord to then have Infinite Supply for the work He wants me to do!


* I’d be so desperate for change to obey Jesus’ commands in Matthew 7:7!
– to want revival so much that I can’t live without it!
- to not be satisfied with “good” services / prayer meetings / bible studies but long for the best!

* He’d so posses me so I’d be intensely excited for Him & about Him!

* my extravagant desire would be all for Him!!

* keep me walking so close to Him so that I’d ask for what He wants me to receive, seek Him for what He wants me to find and knock on the doors He wants me to knock on!

* keep my ever- greedy heart satisfied in Him!

* keep me sensitive to hearing the cries for help of others & be Christ’s ambassador to them!

* keep me increasingly thankful always, & my mouth ever open to speak of His wondrous acts more!!

* make my life an aroma of Christ!!

* I’d cooperate with Him in being an agent of revival!!

:D was a glorious day despite forecast of possible showers!
the games i had planned weren't played in the end *phew* - left me wondering why i was there . . . hadn't really had any good conversations with anyone up until then, thinking of all the "better things" i could've been doing had i stayed home.

BUT!

as always, Father honoured availability~!
near the end He helped me use the 'two ways to Live' [google it!] gospel outline i had printed on the shirt i was wearing with Sam & Teddy! . . . but they seemed to think they were 'too young" to think about it . . . i shared how i was 19 when i almost died & that life is too unpredictable to think you can "wait until i'm older"
they seemed to understand it, how marvellous that Good News that will take forever to full fathom is simple enough for a young one to understand!

* Father would keep sending people into Sam & Teddy's lives' to water that seed & in His time bring it to fruition, producing 30, 60 & 100x more  & be harvested for HIs glory!
* likewise for all the others who came along, sung songs about Jesus' love & heard a testimony from a brother :D

"Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me." Psalms 66:16
There are many ways to communicate the gospel. Recently we discussed the power of music and worship in reaching the unreached. But today we come across an exhortation to give your testimony. It doesn't take a PhD in missiology to do this; anyone can tell others of what God has done for him.

Pray that many thousands will give their testimonies to the unreached peoples in Central Asia next year. Pray that God will give the Muslims of Central Asia ears to hear and hearts to respond to these testimonies.

The small people groups like the Kohistanis certainly feel like they live at "the ends of the earth." From remote valleys and dry, rocky terrain, God alone is their hope. The Kohistani people, who regularly face a lack of water for their needs, lack the hope that you and I share.

Pray that the Kohistani people will have the physical water they need, and, more importantly, the Water of Life, who offers hope to the world.

i've been asked to take part in an outing for our BECC [Basic English Conversation Class] students to Norfolk Point, Manly this Saturday (November 14) =)

~ 40 people are coming, with majority of the students & their family/friends being non-Christians.
:D we can have this time together to  show the students this wonderful part of God's creation.

pray for the unreached!

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalms 37:4
This is one of the Bible's most quoted verses, yet one of the hardest ones to live up to. We delight ourselves in the Lord. We want Him to give us the desires of our hearts. But we often forget that unless we delight ourselves in Him enough to want what He wants, we will settle for the self-centered desires of our hearts. One of the desires of His heart is to see the nations streaming to His kingdom. Is that the desire of your heart?

Pray that the Holy Spirit will prompt us to desire what He wants for the nations.

"Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10


So often we remember the first part of this verse but forget the second part. Be still and know that I am God, is used as an exhortation to put our faith in God in any situation. Yes, we must have faith in Him no matter what may happen. But there is a definite purpose to being still: to know that He will be exalted in all the earth. Does it give us peace and joy to know that the glorious One will be exalted among the nations?

Pray that we as Christ's followers will not disobey His purposes by being satisfied with "being still" while unreached nations like the Yashkuns still wait to hear of His glory.

just got a call from a telemarketer offering me some phone deal - nice, but i don't make hose decisions in this house :P

but rather than simply brushing him off, i knew Father loved him & wanted so much to bring him  to Himself!


thankfully, Bobby hung around long enough after i told him i wasn't interested in his offer to let me urge him to check out www.fathersloveletter.com (which is translated to many languages which is perfect as most strangers i talk to on the phone are from all different parts of the world! ha! found out he was a follower of Jesus too :) he asked for my email to give me his feedback after viewing the page ;)


Tegan & Ariyana i talked to about a new bank account .. which would give me money for nothing! [but i think you need to be an existing customer with them already & offer expires Nov 21st :P] once they heard the site address & didn't want to see it!
but, Father knows them & loves them  too -- do pray for them!

so, so encouraged at the work Father has done in His life, & using him to lead his mother to Jesus too! he has a burden & sees the need to share The Good News of Jesus' Love with others --

* may many other Japanese be drawn into His love through him!

* please pray he'd be connected with a bunch of loving, grace-based, Spirit-filled believers who'd encourage him rather than the discouraging, religiously legalistc ones he's been with. :(

* provide him with a job!

* show him how to most effectively share The Good News of Jesus' Love with other Japanese, he sees himself as in a right positoon to reach his own people easier than outsiders!

* keep him FOCUSED on JESUS! many distractions/ temptations around him!!

Father never ceases to amaze me by His AWESOMELY AMAZING GRACE!!

. . . I’ve been having strange scary dreams at night lately of intruders coming into this house & me violently reacting . . . I need my peaceful sleep!!

* help me truly truly believe that The One who knows me best [faults, fears &failures] is The One who loves me most! [so much in my head that hasn’t fully flowed to my heart . . . :|

WOOHOO!! nothing excites me more than to meet a living, breathing, walking, talking testimony of God's wondrous work in saving those from every tongue & tribe, especially among people groups with a very tiny percentage of those who love & follow Jesus! Father let me meet Kumiko & Keith within the space of a few days - - Father has been at work in Japan, a land many consider as 'hard', 'impenetrable' -- as far as making followers of Jesus goes, but Father is NOT limited by our fears / misconceptions!

:D miraculously saving Kumiko from a motorbike accident! & using that to bring her to Himself!

:D using the hard times in  Keith's life to bring him to Himself!

those i met through English corner yesterday! [discussed self-control and addiction]

... my area of lack of self-control and addiction was, obviously, food :{

i also had to explain to a couple of girls who thought addiction to pornography was not harmful - just why it is so harmful . . . was it just them or are most girls clueless about how horribly destructive pornography is?! :@

:D because of Jesus, there is freedom from self & all our self-destructive addictions!]

* use their failure to control themselves & even their godless addictions to drive them to Jesus, who Alone can set them free!


 we'd see these dear lost souls in heaven, loving Jesus much because they received The Good News, along with others who're there because they didn't keep The Good News to themselves!!

Kim was suncorp teller who served me twice yesterday -- it was Melbourne Cup day! [big stupid day when millions of $$$ are wasted on horses running around somewhere] so i gave her gave a big $100 gospel tract.
pray she would receive His salvation [worth INFINITELY MORE THAN ALL THE $IN THE WORLD!] before its too late~!
sad to say, she was immodestly dressed which caused me to stumble .. arghghgh!! >__<

trip was great :)
beauitiful weather!
but got pretty quiet in the mini bus at times .. i think people were getting carsick from all the windy roads & tired from the driving . . . but God's glory was out in full array!
got talking to Kumiko, a self-professed Japanese Christian [!!] what a rare jewel ;) really need prayers for wisdom in relating to her & not to be distracted by her . . . [her name means 'forever beautiful'] .. may she find her beauty in Christ & grow in Him!
 please keep praying eternally significant things will happen because of this outing :)

- a newcomer at our Sunday morning gathering. tried to share the gospel with him, he refused to be humbled before God & His law, so couldn't get to the Good News part. a lost NEEDING TO BE FOUND & SAVED!
may His conscience keep pricking him & give him no rest until he finds rest in Jesus!

pray for Michael & Elva [AUS & HK]

- an engaged couple who've been coming to our E.C.C.'s. had a chat with them over lunch after class, asked where Michael was spiritually & he replied 'nowhere'. NOT a good place to be! he's been put off by hypocrisy he sees in religion etc .. do pray for his soul & upcoming marriage!
